Clean room

I stayed here on a Saturday and then the following Friday, one night each time. The room was clean and quiet. Nothing fancy here. The signage says "free internet" but it did not work either time. Ok -- for a one night stay. Ok while passing thru; price is lowest for area.

Overnite stay

Pros: Location and price!
Cons: Better quality televisions!
Location: Off the main Hwy. and between two shopping plazas with several restaurants within walking distance.
The place was nice and very conveniently located! The room was clean and the bed was firm, but the tv was very hazy. Would stay again!

The room was fine, not what we reserved but that wasn't the establishments fault. Very courteous staff and very helpful

Poor service, lack of management.

Pros: Location was close to the wedding we attended.
Cons: Better management, better staff, better customer service, better furniture, accomplish the renovations the staff used as an excuse for poor service.
Location: West Virginia is a beautiful state, there is much to do and see here.
Upon our arrival, hotel reception was very nice. We checked in and brought our bags to the room on the third floor. First impression of the room was clean, but run down. Then noticed the bathroom didn't appear to be very clean and a cockroach had to be "dispatched". The easy chair in the room was stained and broken - I had thought it looked like a chair someone might have taken from a curb side dropoff. We had to go to reception on the first floor, furthest end of building from our room, to get ice. While there we made comment about the room and lack of ice machine on our floor and were told the hotel was in the middle of a renovation. It seemed the only minimal work being done was outside and no renovations were ongoing in the hotel. The receptionist refused to acknowledge that our bathroom was dirty and had cockroaches. We were told the hotel was booked and no other rooms were available, other hotels in the area were fully booked as well. No manager on duty, not due in until Monday - this was Friday afternoon. After returning to our room Saturday afternoon, we found that our room had not been cleaned, our used towels were still on the bathroom floor, trash cans still full with trash, bed not made (our personal items were out of the way). Staff did leave two clean towels on the desk. This has been the poorest experience at a Super 8 Hotel. We won't be back, and recommend that you pass this hotel and stay at another in the area. Todd, I am so sorry to hear you had an unpleasant stay with us. We are indeed under renovations. Our guest rooms have been fully painted and the bathrooms had new sinks installed. Our next step is new bedding, which should be complete by weeks end and we are also replacing a lot of the furniture as well. This Super 8 is under new ownership and since the owners have had it they have done a lot of upgrading to this property and continue to do so. I can reassure you that the complaints you have provided us with have been dealt with, which includes problems you had with housekeeping. I do hope you give us another chance and stop again if in the area to see the changes we are making.

Todd, I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience at our Super 8. We are in fact under going renovations. Some of the first things taken care of was painting the guest rooms and putting in new bathroom sinks. Our next project in the rooms is our new bedding, which we hope will be finished by weeks end. Also we are replacing some of the furniture in the rooms. Our property is under new ownership and since they purchased Super 8 they have made a lot of changes. It is a work in progress and we only want the best for our guests. The issue you had with the employees have been addressed. I do hope that you give us another chance and stop back to see the changes we are making.

We weren't given the option to want non smoking. I wasn't even aware there are still hotels that allow smoking. We were put in a smoking room with my pregnant wife and two small children. The refrigerator was broken and didn't get cold. There was also a hole in our wall. We had to slam the door to close it otherwise you could just push it open. And the back entrance wouldn't lock as well you could just pull it open with no key allowing anyone entrance to the hotel. I was very disappointed in this experience.

When we received your reservation that was the room type selected, and we were booked that weekend. Broken coffee pot

Coffee pot on the blink. Bummer first thing in the morning. Light stains on the bed sheets. Staff was very helpful .

Close to the highway and places to eat
