Quiet spot in a busy area

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Great staff; clean
Cons: The room smelled a little musty
Location: This facility is close to so many restaurants and shops in Summerville.
We stayed at this hotel a couple of days while visiting family in the area and enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful and cordial and check-in was fast. The hotel is tucked back into a wooded area near the WalMart but we never heard any street noise. The bedding is one of my big concerns when I stay at a hotel so I was happy to see the note posted in the room saying that all of the linen is changed daily, including the comforter. The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked but it was okay. It was a busy Fourth of July weekend but the staff kept the breakfast bar well stocked. I would choose this hotel again.

Excellent for the price

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Staff were professional and courteous. Was surprised at the quality for the price. I've stayed at pricier hotels that were not nearly as nice. Checking in at night to fresh hot coffee was a plus!!!!

hotel staff is friendly and helpful

Posted Jun 24, 2014
We have gone to this hotel every year because of the staff and atmosphere. Not only is the entire staff friendly and helpful, but they offer a whole breakfast buffet, a breakfast to go for those who are in a rush, baked cookies in the afternoon and round the clock coffee, tea and fruit. It is so much like home. The beds are very comfortable in the rooms and the work out room and pool are clean. The hotel is in walking distance of restaurants, stores, and movies. What more can we say-Hampton Inn is the place to stay!

The rooms are clean, nice bathroom where 2 people can move about, plenty of stowage space, staff was always cheerful & helpful. The breakfast was really good & they had beverages available 24/7. Tues & Thursday evening is Mgr special with wine & beer, snacks & some really good chili, variety of cheesecakes & staff makes for great conversation.

Cheap hotel outside of Charleston

Posted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: The breakfast, good bed, nice to have fridge and microwave.
Cons: It seemed a little run down in the hallways and cracks in the walls of the room. Also there was a big drip from the ceiling in the hallway.
Location: Nice to be close to Charleston to see Fort Sumter and the beaches.
The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was very good and the sweat tea and fresh cookies were wonderful.

Nice hotel

Just a few minor things: bathroom needs exhaust fan and staying in the first room near the side entrance on the first floor is annoying!
