“service lacking”
The room was adequate but there are service problems. It took 3 hours for room service to deliver matches for the fireplace. There was no locker key for key storage. One night there was no hot water because of a boiler issue per maintenance. Lastly the indoor pool facility had a spa whose water had a funny green color and temp was luke warm at best.
“Good Hotel, terrible service”
The hotel has a beautifull view and a great space, rooms are very nice, big and on the first look you think you have made a good deal. Unfortunatelly manitenance and housekeeping service are very bad. Heater broke and temperature went up to 90" makng it imposible to lower it or to turn heater off. we called front desk but did not fixe it. We had to keep windows open to cool the room. Room service came every 2 days so we had to make beds and take out the trash. We complain bud they didnt care. sofa bed was broke..no solution either... we had to fix it.... so expect a 10 for view, a 10 for space and a 0 for service....
“Convenient but Noisy”
Although the studio suite was adequate for space and amenities, the complex was very noisy inside and out, until all hours of the night. The restaurants located at the Lodge were very good, and the location itself was very convenient. Just too noisy.
“Clean and Comfortable.”
The room was clean, cozy and gave us a great place to to be a family after great days of skiing. Be sure to call for your shuttle--didn't know that.
“Nice condo, bad location!”
The condo was very large and comfortable. We were quite pleased! However, when we went the lake was closed for ice skating and so were most of the shops and restaurants. We were also pretty far from the slopes and had to drive. We probably would chose Vail or Breckenridge over Keystone in the future.
“Lakeside - Keystone nice!”
Great condo at a resonable price. The kids and I enjoyed the spring skiing. We cooked dinner 1 night and the kitchen and dining area were perfect. No TV in the 2nd bedroom???
“Like being at home”
Stayed in a 2-bdrm condo near the skating lake for a 1-week conference. The condo unit was great, though the bed in the master bedroom was hard as a rock (literally like sleeping on the box spring) - howabout spluringing for a 2-inch memory foam top if you don't want to replace the mattress? Other than that, the unit was fine - it really was like being at home - wifi throughout, large screen TV with a DVD player, working fireplace, fully equiped kitchen and a washer/dryer in the unit.
“Hope to spend Christmas there”
The locations was excellent and the children enjoyed it so much. We plan to go over and spend the Christmas vacations there if possible with some other changes we would need. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen accomodated all three women any time that we had to serve a meal. The fireplace was just beautiful we were unable to fire it up due to a child that had to be put on oxygen soon after we got there. She also missed out on skiing with her sisters.
“Once it warmed up the unit was quite nice”
I attended a research conference at Keystone (Jan 2010), so I wanted to be near the Conference Center, so I asked for a condo near the lake and I got my first choice (Lenawee). The unit I stayed in (1725) had a private entrance and was quite nice. My only issue was that the unit was quite chilly for the first 1.5 days - never got above 65 degrees. But after that it warmed up to ~71 degrees. But there was space heater so even for the first day it was OK (plus I wasn't in the unit much since I was attending the conference/skiing). One other thing though - in the master bedroom the mattress was hard as a rock (sort of like sleeping on a box spring) - they really need to add a 2-inch memory foam top to the mattress. That would have made it more comfortable. But otherwise the unit was quite nice - well equipped and modern kitchen, working fireplace, large flat screen TV (with HBO), comfortable furniture, large dining table, updated and quite nice bathrooms. It even had a washer and dryer!
“Not impressed”
Keystone was beautiful but the condo was in need of updating. Only the hot water in the shower worked and they couldn't fix the facet. After 2 days of trying to fix it they agreed to move us. The fourth day into our stay they shut off the hot water to our floor because they thought it was unoccupied. Several of the appliances didn't work (hair dryer, Toaster). We had to ask for more shampoo and tissues when the box was empty. They just lacked common sence when it came to hospitality and everything was by the book. Our stay was in July which is their slow season. We were told that we were the only guests in the Lakeshore building.
