“Great Hotel”
We loved the hotel and felt it was very charming. Definitely exceeded our expectations and will stay again (hopefully soon).
“Can't wait to go back”
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely go back to the Keystone Lodge and Spa!!
“Great hotel in beautiful location”
Everything was wonderful at the hotel. I wish we had a better view, but they can't give everyone a room with an amazing view. Each of the hotel associates that we encountered treated us as valued guests.
“Cigarettes/Dogs/DVDs”
The hotel won't let you bring a dog unless you stay on the ground floor. And, there are only queen beds on the ground floor, except for 1 room w/ a king. We were "lucky" enough to get this room w/ a king, which smells as though it was doused in cigarette smoke. The stench was so assaulting to the sinuses that it left both husband and I feeling as though we had colds the next morning. I am not sure if all of the rooms smell like smoke, or if it was this room in particular. The hotel is undergoing maintenance right now (5/30/11) and they have closed the main restaurant (off season). You cannot get any food/drink on the patio in front of the lake, as is advertised in the photo of the location online. Not able to hang out on the patio and with the limited bar selection, we decided to get a pizza and watch a movie in the room. Unfortunately, there are no movies on demand, but you can rent a DVD player from the main desk, which requires DVDs. In order to get the DVDs, you can drive to the city market. Fortunately, they have HBO and a pizza place open next door. Other than that, the staff was friendly and the grounds were beautiful. Finally, the tv was stuck with closed caption on it for the whole night despite 2 attempts by the maintenance man on our tv and the tv next door to fix the problem.
“Great place to stay, relax and enjoy!!!”
We stayed at this hotel in mid April and we were totally impressed with the hotel and the service provided. The hotel is conviniently located close to A-Basin and River Run Village. It has a beautiful lake, nice pool, and a very nice restaurant and bar. It also has shops around the lake. The staff is extremely nice and helpful!!! I would definitely recommend this hotel and I hopeto stay there again soon!
“Valet service lacking”
I know it was the end of a long season, but the valet service out front was definitely lacking. A little to "laid back" for my taste in both attitude and action. My car was left on the front drive for more than two hours with the window open (I didn't leave it that way). I went back to put some valuables in the car for safekeeping, but had such a bad feeling about the valets I took my car back and self-parked. Other than that, the hotel was wonderful!
“Excellent experience, will definitely go back?”
Room was spacious and clean. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Had a wonderful meal and excellent service. The spa was very welcoming after a long day of skiing.
“Great hotel, reasonable price”
The staff at this hotel was extremely courteous and helpful, and the hotel itself is attractive and clean. There is complementary coffee at the cafe in the hotel, and that was really nice. The hotel is on the skating pond, and while there are restaurants in and around the hotel, the general area was pretty dead while we were there. We were there over spring break, so maybe this is different during Dec-Feb. We generally went to the restaurants at the base of the ski resort, where there was a little more action. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others.
“Awesome!!!”
Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We had a great room with a view. The shuttle was so convenient and easy to use. A great stay!! Can't wait to go back
