HOT HOT HOT despite the cool mountain air!Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: There are tons of family-friendly activities available at the resort and the fireworks display over the resort lake was a pretty amazing surprise!
Cons: The property was very pretty and we loved the flowers although the whole place looks like it could use a coat of paint and DEFINITELY BETTER SIGNAGE.
Our room was very hot (75-78 degrees even w/thermostat turned all the way down), the standing portable fan was broken so we propped the small fan on an overturned ice bucket in front of the open window, the bathroom lights flickered and the ceiling fan did not run, the hair dryer blew the circuit and would not reset, and one of two mattresses was uncomfortably mushy. We appreciated the super-efficient valet service included in our visit but we were here to see the area so it felt like we were constantly checking the car in-and-out to the tune of a valet tip (albeit deserved) every single time. I completely understand the ski crowd dropping their cars and using shuttles but during the summer months, guests should have access to their car as needed even if means walking across the road. We skipped going back into town after the fireworks without kid/dog to try out a beer at the local brewery but getting the car out of valet (again!) was just too much of a mental hassle. In addition, because we were not familiar with resort (although happily it turned out to be much more than expected), we had a difficult time negotiating the property as the signage within the hotel is very, very, poor. Everyone was very nice but we overheard some of the shopkeepers speaking disparagingly about the Farmers Market concept to some residents, which was a bit of a downer but we will definitely give it another shot in the future to see if we just experienced an off-weekend.

Really like the loft roomsPosted Jun 5, 2015
Stayed during the office season so it wasn't very busy. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Loved the loft room with the extra floor even though it was just me and my wife. Nice bike path right behind hotel

an all exclusive experiencePosted Apr 28, 2015
Location: there are free buses to the nearby cities.
My husband, my son and I stayed at the KSH for 3 nights during low season. It felt like we were the only ones there, but in a positive way. The staff at the restaurants were very polite and friendly and they even remembered what we had the previous day. The fitness center is very nice , the rooms are quiet. Great , beautiful place !

I would stay here againPosted Apr 21, 2015 on Hotels
Overall a nice hotel. Comfy rooms, fun hot tub/pool area, great bar and restaurant, and beautiful views. Close to other restaurants and shops, but sadly most of them were closed while we stayed there, probably because it was the end of the ski season.

Cons: Starting to show age of facility.
Went for closing day at the mountain, came back was not crowded, food was excellent and staff was very accomidating to assisting us. Would stay there again, very surprised for a corporate facility.

Awesome, but not catered to late Spring-Breakers..Posted Apr 13, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel is very nice! A bit rustic with an elegant touch to it. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. The Bartenders down in the lounge were awesome and very friendly. We enjoyed chatting with them and having a cocktail or two. The ONLY issue we faced that was a bit disappointing, was that the restaurants were closed, and the options on their "bar menu" were not very family-friendly, or in all honesty, not very appealing to me at all. Something as simple as Fish and Chips, or Chicken and Fries would have been a nice addition to the menu. That part was a bummer, as it would have been nice to just eat at the hotel, and not have to travel in to town. I realize it's spring, but the ski resort was still open, and some of us from other parts of the country have spring break a couple of weeks later. Other than the food issue, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay very much!
