Great Budget HotelPosted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Big, clean hot- hot tub.
Cons: Better coffee.
Location: 10 mins from skiing.
Great Location! Great Value! There are 2 restaurants/ bars in the parking lot. Hot tub is big, clean & hot. Sure, it could be nicer. The coffee is awful and breakfast is a cheap carb fest, but the location is great. Its clean. Friendly efficient staff. The price is great. And the beds aren't bad.

Good location. Very well priced for the area. A little worn but very clean. Housekeeping was great!

Quiet. Dog friendly. Low maintenance.Posted Apr 4, 2015
Location: walking trails, outlet malls, skiing, restaurants - all really close
The tv is room 103 is too dark. It needs adjusted. I don't really call the front desk on things like that. The breakfast needed a little protein or something. The apples were teeny and the oranges were yucky and untouched. It was clean and non-evasive. That is mostly what I want. We could walk to Old Chicago - out the back door. I would stay there again for the price.

Great place!!!Posted Mar 30, 2015
We stayed one night for our ski trip. This place very convenient location, close to copper mountain ski resort, all restaurants, and shopping. For what you spend, it is a great place!!! Nice and clean, and breakfast included!!!

Passable of need affordablePosted Mar 28, 2015
Decent room with the minimum needs. Older hotel, but clean enough for one night. Pool and breakfast were average. Ok if looking for affordable, but nothing great.

A good deal for the MoneyPosted Mar 28, 2015
Cons: A fresh coat of paint!
This is the second time I stayed at Lux Inn for a ski vacation. It is very near the highway and has easy access to all of the Summit ski slopes. The hotel is old and is in need of renovation, but the room was clean and the staff courteous. They were extremely helpful in sending a car key that I left in the room to my home address. The hot tub is a nice touch after a long day of skiing. The breakfast is also a time-saving benefit. It is not fancy, but enough to get you started in the morning. The granola bars make a great mid-morning snack on the ski lift. If you are looking for a fancy hotel, this is not for you, but if you are looking for a convenient place to sleep for the night, the Lux Inn is a great value.

As expectedPosted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: Value. Proximity to Breckenridge, Keystone and Vail
Cons: Extra towels.
Location: All kinds of shops to explore.
For a value priced hotel my experience was just as I had expected. No frills. The Staff was on the ball and always personable and attentive. Although the facility is dated, it was clean and comfortable. Depending on the timing on my next Summit County visit I might spend a little more and stay in Breckenridge so that I can still get to skiing if they decide to close interstate 70 again as during this visit.

Good location for skiing optionsPosted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: location/pool/hot tub
Cons: the finishes were tired in the bathroom and room.
Location: Next door to Old Chicago and a brewery/bakery... walking was nice! SO close to outlet shopping also.
It was spring break week, so it was QUITE loud into the wee hours of the morning with slamming doors, etc. The pool is small and the hot tub was crowded, but our kids loved it! EZ walk to dinner/meal and the continental breakfast was adequate, but nothing like La Quinta's. The coffee was terrible. For the value, it was just right for our family and we were not unhappy, overall. Would stay again for the exact purpose it served.

Hot tub hair balls...Posted Mar 24, 2015
This was probably one of the worst hotels I have every stayed in. Not only was our hotel not clean, it was about a 1970's model with poor insulating and a bit shady. To top everything off was after a long day skiing with our boys, we wanted nothing more than to relax in a nice hot tub. Well my husband immediately forewarned me about the HAIR BALLS floating all over the hot tub - and I am talking full-on nasty man hair balls. Needless to say this was probably the grossest public facility I have ever used. We didn't dare venture into the pool. We unfortunately had to the stay the night but immediately cancelled our room for the following night. Even our 9 & 11 year olds were grossed out. It definitely did not exude the word "luxury". I would unfortunately NOT recommend this to anyone.
