Excellent facility - location, location, location!

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: The location, the amenities and the room was beautiful.
Cons: Air conditioning.
Location: It is right at the corner of main street and within walking distance of just about everything! The location was perfect.
Everything about the Main Street Station was excellent. The location is just about the best in Breckenridge (we were there in the summer so does not relate to skiing). The room was just gorgeous, as was the entire facility including all the amenities. There was no air conditioning, which would have been nice, but we were told by someone else not related to this facility (a bus driver), that there are hardly any accommodations in Breckenridge with A.C. All in all, just a wonderful stay!

Pros: Parking inside.Close walk to downtown.
Room was noisy due to some kind of a fan running all night long. No A/C in this condo.

Walking distance from the Base 9 lift

Great hotel, at walking distance from pretty much any place in Breckenridge. The room was spacious and comfortable, though a little outdated on its decor. Great bath tub and an excellent ski ballet service.

Ski condo in Breckenridge

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Very closely related to ski lifts and ski rental places. The ski rental places were great and did go out of their way to be of assistance. Heating.
Cons: service, update of rooms, ski locker by west building, easier organization of parking garage.
Location: Close to ski lifts, ski rentals, restaurants and Main street.
This Main Street Station ski condo rented by Wyndham Vacation rentals was a disappointment. This was condo 1304 West building. The check in clerk was short and abrupt, he appeared to be more interested in the "work" on the computer screen in front of him than in guest standing in front of him at the check in counter. He promised with a view on the mountains, he was off. The room looked on a building at the other side of the street. Opening the window and peeking outside there was a view of some mountains. The room itself was dreary not updated in twenty years. The main decoration being a Christmas wreath and slings made from discolored plastic and badly needing dusting. The mattress was horrible, and urgently needed replacement as did the bed linens. TV and other electronics needed an update as well. The light level was so that it was nowhere possible to read a book. The kitchen was sparsely equipped, breakfast bowls, microwaveable containers, etc, etc were lacking. Several things badly needed repair including kitchen counter. No room service available only for an additional charge. $275/day for a small room with a queen size bed is really a "steal".

Great Location

Posted Mar 20, 2014
Pros: Proximity to town, restaurants, shopping and market. Easy parking, ski valet room and walk to lift.
Cons: Garbage pick up at least every 3 or 4 days. The buildings are confusing and it's hard to find your way around. Elevators are slow.
Location: Ski, short walk to Quicksilver lift, ski school and town.
We stayed 4 nights at Main Street Station in the West building. The entire town, market and all the restaurants and shops are just steps away! Our unit was fantastic, on the 4th floor, one bedroom with 1 1/2 bathrooms, which was a huge plus. Nice views, quiet and beautiful carpeting that looked new. Nice kitchen, furniture and comfortable bed. A few things need to be fixed, such as the dishwasher, although it worked, the shelves were broken, holes in the drywall in the bathroom and lighting was not great. There is no housekeeping, so even though this seems like a hotel, it's a condo rental. That is fine with us, the one problem we had was that we asked where to take the trash out and they said, "in the garage"! Well, when you pay over $300.00 per night, they should either pick up your trash every few days or have a receptical closer than all the way down in the garage. There are free DVD rentals in the lobby and we used this service every night, it was just a great plus! It is a short walk to Peak 9 base lift (Quicksilver), which is good for people with children in ski school. Beware, the lines are super long in the morning due to all the ski schoolers. Get to the lift well before 9 a.m. and you will be fine, otherwise, very long waits to get up the mountain. We enjoyed skiing Peak 10 and then were able to ski back at the end of the day but again, very crowded area with ski school.

Broken bed

Posted Mar 4, 2014
Our pull out bed was completely broken on one end. When I told the staff about this, they sent someone up to look at it. I was then told it would be fixed the next day. It was not fixed - when I called to inquire about it I was told to just put the mattress on the floor or get some rollaways from them - the room was so small there would not have been enough room. In the meantime my son got pneumonia, had to go to the ER, and had nowhere else to sleep while he was hooked to an oxygen concentrator but the mattress on the floor. Oh, and did I mention that the room would not cool down at night? Hot room, contagious sick child stuck in a room with a mattress on the floor and hotel staff that was just really not that concerned about anything. Great experience!
