“So many good things....”
The location and indoor parking are great, as was the size of a 2 bedroom condo with a lower level for kitchen/dining room/fireplace next to the TV. A private hot tub was the clincher off the master bedroom; soooo much more convenient and nice than the community one outside, in the snow, walking around trying not to freeze after you get out. You could ski down to within 30 feet of the entrance. Nice bar area and a big wood fireplace in the lounge. Front desk staff was helpful, quick and informative. Having said all that....the unit we stayed in NEEDS to be updated; torn comforters, little nicks in the furnishings and toilets, a non-stick skillet from the 80's. No housekeeping is not a problem for me, and you could get more towels if that's what you need. Very convenient for quick walks all over town (5 minutes or less for most places) and there are buses constantly serving town. Free internet is a plus, didn't use the fitness center or outdoor barbecue. Really good value, could be great with some polish.
“Not impressed. Will not return.”
After changing rooms twice, the third room had not been cleaned. It had been recently upgraded and was very nice, unfortunately the cleaning staff had left for the day (why isn't there someone in maintenance/cleaning there 24/7??) so the gentleman at the front desk cleaned the room himself and changed the linens. We appreciated it very much, but the fact remains that the room was dirty upon check-in. The location was not so great. Right off a main road and very loud. There is no air conditioning so we had to leave the windows open, which made it noisy all the time. The fresh mountain air was nice though.
“average hotel for the price-no housekeeping”
I wasn't super impressed with this hotel considering the price. However its location and the fact our stay occured during spring break affected that price. My biggest complaint is that there wasn't any housekeeping unless you opted to pay an extra fee. The hotel passed this off as "being green", but all it means to me is that I had to empty my own trash. The decor was dated and our bed sheets were stained, at least that's what I tell myself. I'm hoping they weren't dirty from the last guest. we spent 4 days there, next time i think i'll pay for a better hotel and not stay as long.
“AWESOME TRIP”
The hotel was great! It is in a great location, one block from downtown step out the front door and catch the shuttle to the gondola and ski back to the end of 4 o'clock run walk across the road and your back at the hotel. Great little bar with friendly people. Get a Buba shot while your there. We will be back!
“great location”
The hotel was nearly empty and still I was given one of the least desirable condos (quite dark, along the street). I arrived at night and did not realize this right away. The complex is advertised as being close to a stream; it seems the price should differ between condos to the street and the back (stream).
“Great location but room was dated”
The location of the condos to downtown Breckenridge is great. Housekeeping services could have been better. The kitchen wastebasket was full when we arrived and there were dirty fingerprints on the appliances and mirrors. The elevator was broken at check out time. Although the front desk clerk offered to assist people with their luggage, it left the desk unattended. Our unit faced the interior so the view was of other condos and it was quite noisy. It may have been better if we had faced the mountains or downtown.
“Desk staff very helpful”
Desk staff, Scott and Jesse, were extremely helpful and repsonsive during our stay. Hotel location is excellent, and the parking was convenient. Will stay here next visit!
“River Mountain Lodge”
Nice condo and the kitchen is well equipped with dishes, etc.
“Definitely would go back”
Very convenient to everything in Breckenridge. Great for hiking and biking. The pool was heated enough to use on chilly days which was nice for kids.
“Would go back again.”
Hotel was very convenient to slopes. Staff was very helpful. We stayed in 1 bedroom unit with pull out sofa which was a bit tight for 4 adults but manageable. Furniture in our unit was kind of beat. Master bed was comfortable. Sofa bed very uncomfortable.
