Retreat Not

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Air conditioning, a screened sliding door, and better quality bed and beaten up upholstery replaced.
Location: There is a bike park in the summer and a nice ride up to the mountain by ski lift or gondola.
This hotel is more like a ski club so if you get an interior room you are subject to hearing other occupants using the recreation room which in my case kept me up passed 1 am due to the noise from pool balls being hit all night long by load patrons. There was no air conditioning so if the window was open, the noise from traffic and the ski gondola lasted well past 11pm. The bed was hard and our stay in the mountains was a far cry from what we imagined.

Great Location - not so great inside

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The location and overall feel of the complex was very good. The response from maintenance was extremely efficient and friendly.
Cons: The interior of the condo was run-down and worn out. We had no hot water in the evening. Seems like a boiler issue - hate to see during ski season!
Location: Location was excellent - short walk to River Run and gondola but secluded enough to be peaceful.
Location was ideal for walking around River Run Village and accessing the gondola. There were lots of activities for kids and adults. Upon returning to the condo around 6 p.m. we found there was no hot water. We called maintenance - they had someone at our door within 10 minutes (excellent response). He informed us the it was because of high demand and could do nothing about it - seems odd that 6 p.m. is such a high demand time. The furniture in our unit was pretty run-down. The bed had a cheap, worn out mattress. The chair and sofa were torn in several spots and the cushions were crushed beyond comfort. It is unfortunate that the owner didn't match the interior to the superb surroundings. All in all, we had a great trip - we spent most of it outdoors enjoying everything Keystone has to offer.

Hotel close to slopes

Posted Mar 16, 2014
I was under the impression that our room would comfortably sleep 4. We had a double bed in one room and a pull out sleeper sofa in the living room which was not comfortable. Other than that.... The condo was nice and had what we needed. It was a good location for the slopes and restaurants.

Nice hotel. Very close to the slopes.

Pros: Comfortable and convenient.
Cons: It has a screen door opens to where we could walk to the lifts but no key was provided. The "full" kitchen did not have anything for baking.
Location: The village is really nice to explore and the kids loved the snow fort.
Comfortable and convenient. It has a screen door opens to where we could walk to the lifts but no key was provided. Would have been really nice since we had small children. The kitchen was supposed to be "full" but nothing at all for baking in the oven. Over all, it is comfortable and nice decoration!

Housekeeping issues

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: Love that it is a condo with a full kitchen and plenty of room to spread out. It is convenient to Keystone mountain ski resort chair lifts .
Location: River run resort has nice stores and restaurants that are within walking distance
We were there for 5 days, so I understand housekeeping doesn't want/need to change our sheets or bring fresh towels everyday, but no one ever came to empty trash or make the bed or anything...Having it be a condo, we accumulated alot of trash because we would cook there. We had to call for towels, and our trash stacked up in our room #unpleasant....Also, there is a $15.00/night hotel surcharge...why not just incorporate that into the price of the room??

Nice location.....

Posted Feb 15, 2014
Pros: It was very close to the ski resort.
Cons: New mattress
The room was great. The bed was not so great. It sunk in the middle and was very uncomfortable. Was glad we only stayed for a few days on that bed.

Sisters go skiing

Posted Jan 30, 2014
Pros: Location!
Cons: The humidifier didn't work?
Location: Lots of bars and restaurants, close to Dillon/Silverthorne and Breckenridge if you want to try skiing elsewhere but close by Keystone.
Went with my 2 sisters for a 5 day sisters only ski trip- loved that it wasn't crowded (the advantage of low season) and we had 2 gorgeous sunny days and a full snow day! We stayed at Silver Mill in a loft and it was wonderful! Quiet, the Murphy and sofa beds made up in a snap giving us lots of room and I loved that the rental place in the Village stored my skis, poles, and boots every day! Easy pick up, easy drop off!

Good not great

After trying Breckenridge the month before, I thought I'd try Keystone this time around. As an avid snowboarder, the most important thing to me is location. Proximity to the lifts and restaurants/entertainment being paramount. This lodge hit on both of those as it was a short walk to both. And the village to village shuttle was convenient and gave you even more options. My only faults were, as can expected with most condo resorts, there's no maid service without an extra charge. And that we were placed in the last room in the hallway, which was unusually long and made the walk back after a long day rough. But that's mostly nit picking. Otherwise, a pretty good place to stay.

Great location close to the slopes.

Posted Jan 20, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: blinds were broken, skid marks on the wall, slate floors not completely clean, matress in one of the bedrooms had seen better days.
Location: Skiing, ice skating, tubing, nice little village in river run, overall a charming place
Rooms were a little dated for the price but lots of room and very convenient location
