Would Not Recomend

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Where to start? From the first step in this place had a bad vibe.the lady who checked us in was not friendly. I don't think I saw her smile the entire stay. She told me my prepaid reservation I still had to give a credit card for incidentals, which is fine. She told me it was a 10 dollar hold, that turned out to be a 234 dollar charge with no reason. I had to call my bank to cancel the transaction. All a that a side she took no responsiblity and told me that was impossible and that they didn't charge anything on my card. I still have my bank statement showing as charged. All stag were pretty uninterested in their positions. Our room was smelly Nd everything looked outdated. We didn't have sop or shampoo and had to ask front desk to deliver to us. Our drawers in the rooms were falling to pieces and some were broken. One of the beds had a dried up piece of pepperoni on it. We could. It sleep do to the notice from the guest who were upstairs the entire stay. Oh did I mention our carpets were nearly wet!!!! It was gross and I will never Recomend this place to anyone. Especially when we paid $139 a night for it. Terrible experience and terrible staff. Don't go there!

Intentional vagueness in the ad - not the entire t

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: The hotel clerk was pleasant. The room was clean and the breakfast options were decent.
Cons: The bed and the television were both too old and worn out to even donate to a thrift store.
Location: The hotel is near the Silverthorne Outlet shops.
We were excited to stay at the Silverthorne Days Inn. The lobby was nice and clear. The clerk was pleasant. However, once we checked in, we found that what we thought we were paying for was different from what was offered. The room was clean and pleasant, but so small that the only place that you could set your bags was on the beds. One bed was fine. Trying to sleep in the other bed was like bedding down in a half-empty water bed. The television was fuzzy and off color. The remote control was taped together, but still did not work fully. The teenagers thought they would escape the cramped room by going for a swim, until they found out that the pool was a 2' wading pool - not great for swimming or anyone older than a toddler. We thought about checking out and changing hotels, but we decided to stay because one of us was feeling ill. The lesson I learned was to call and ask specific details before believing an ad. I would only stay there again if I absolutely had to.

Great priced hotel for a last minute stay

Posted May 13, 2014
The hotel was nice for the price and for how last minute we needed it. Our car had broken down and we needed a hotel for a couple nights while it was being repaired. The staff was really nice and understanding. The hotel smelled and wasn't in the greatest shape but it was good enough for two people and our two dogs. It was comfortable amd accomdated just what we needed. Its also a cheap price if you have pets. Its only 5 dollars per pet. I would recommend if you aren't looking got anything fancy and need it cheap.

Horrible Customer Service

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Terrible experience at this hotel. My fiancé and I arrived and asked if we could please check into our room a little early so we could get dressed for a wedding we were attending in town. The young woman at the front desk was extraordinarily rude. After rattling of a list of things she had to do (including cleaning up breakfast - at 2pm), she said that she was just too busy and, among other things, that she wasn't going to go out of her way for just one customer. We calmly explained that we were just looking for a little hospitality and didn't care if the room was cleaned yet, that we just needed somewhere to change our clothes, and she responded "I'm very good at my job, I know what good customer service is." When we asked if we could speak with her manager, she refused to give us her information, or to get her on the phone for us. This escalated to the point that she threatened to CALL THE POLICE if we didn't "change out attitude." We were admittedly frustrated, but this sort of response was incredibly unwarranted. As a manager for multi-million dollar sales and service accounts, I can honestly say that I have never received or heard worse customer service, and that if I had heard any of my employees treat a customer this way, I would immediately terminate their employment. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!

Total dive!

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: A complete remodel to bring the property up to a reasonable standard.
Location: Right on I-70 down ramp.
The exterior has been revamped but the inside is very dated, circa 1988? Tiny tv, brown stuff came out of shower, ugly bedspreads, interstate noise, over sprayed paint, carpet dirty, trash in hallway AND it cost way to much for a Tuesday night!

Only place left in town.

Posted Mar 30, 2014
Cons: The hallways have old filthy carpet -- the room was clean, but old mattress. Cabinet storage are was warped. Paint was peeling off walls in bathroo
Honest -- It was a last minute ski gathering. This was the only inexpensive room. I feel like I paid twice it was worth.....but we do what we must. Only a carb breakfast unless you like hard boiled eggs.

The hotel was dirty and very run down.

Posted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Tear it down and build a new one!
Location: Silverthorne, Colorado is beautiful. There is skiing and shopping at your fingertips.
I cannot believe that I paid $200 to stay in a dump for a night! The hotel was extremely dirty and run down. Everything I touched was dirty and the floors in the room and in the hotel itself were dirty! The beds were so lumpy that no one got a decent night sleep. There was no soap or shampoo in my room. I had to go downstairs and request it. The pool had only has 3 ft. of water - hardly a pool as best. The staff was nice, but not overly helpful. The breakfast in the morning was decent and good for skiers.
