Nice stay

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Hospitality of owners and their dog.
Cons: Provide shampoo and conditioner
Location: Close to downtown Main Street.
Pleasant hotel staff (owners). The owners dog was very friendly and cute. We enjoyed the continental breakfast (hot coffee, homemade scones and coffee cake) were delicious. Beds were super comfy and the room was clean. My boyfriend and I stayed (one night) during Breck's closing weekend. The Wayside Inn was quiet and it had nice views of the mountains. We truly enjoyed our stay - owners were so nice!!

Nice Clean basic place to stay to go skiing. The staff was helpful and friendly. Enjoyed my stay. Near to Breckenridge and Frisco for food options and Ski areas Breckenridge, Keystone and Copper Mountain less than 1/2 hour away.

The Worst Hotel I've Ever Seen

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything.... It was dirty, scary and awful!
The Wayside Inn was horrible! It was dirty and scary! We checked in, took one look at the room and immediately went somewhere else to get another room. We went back to the main desk about an hour and a half later to drop off the key. I gave the key to the man at the front desk and said "we are not staying here". He said "ok" and took the key. He didn't ask if there was anything wrong, anything they could do.... It was as if people turned in their key after seeing the room they rented all the time! We paid for 3 rooms for one overnight stay (the room we didn't stay in, the room we did stay in, and the second room at Wayside that they wouldn't let us cancel when the couple we were supposed to go with had an emergency). Horrible place, horrible customer service, horrible experience!!! Save your time and money!

We stayed at the Wayside while we were visiting Breckenridge. Staff was very friendly and the hotel had a warm feeling to it. Would recommend!

Great price and great hotel managers

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness of the rooms. The hotel staff (husband and wife) was great (and their dogs). The breakfast was a plus.
Cons: The second night that we were there, the folks in the next room were loud. Party was going on until 2:00 in the morning. The front desk is closed.
Location: Of course, skiing.
We stayed two nights. I was reluctant, at first, but the rooms were clean and did the trick for providing for a place to sleep at night while on the slopes during the day. We did not need a ski in and out condo because we skipped around from Breck to Vail, then Keystone on different days. The Wayside provided us nice beds.

Cozy motel close to main street

Great stay for the price and location. About a five min drive from the main resturants shops and skiing. Bring your own shampoo etc because all they had was a small bar of soap. Other than that, worth the stay!

Decent Hotel Not Too Far Off the Beaten Path

Posted Mar 7, 2015
Pros: Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Comfortable beds, quiet environment. Free wifi.
Cons: The water pressure, definitely. The shower ran hot but not exactly fast.
Location: A few minutes' walk off of CO-9 where free public transportation runs between Frisco and Breckenridge most of the day.
Check-in was fairly easy. I arrived early so had to kick around town for a while until my room was ready. The staff is pretty friendly and very dog-friendly. They are highly knowledgeable about the local area and what is available depending on how you want to spend your time. They're located just a few minutes' walk from free public transit so you can save a little on gas. The room itself was clean and mostly quiet, though the water pressure left something to be desired. Also, the door appeared to be somewhat warped so even though it locked, there was a perpetual sliver letting air in. Combining that with one night at -5 degrees F, I was very glad the bed was comfortable, the comforter thick, and the heating adjustable. When I wasn't out and about, it was easy to access the free wifi and browse the available Comcast channels. They offer a free breakfast between 7:30am and 9am and mulled cider between 4pm and 7pm. One odd thing, though. They seem to clean the rooms each afternoon regardless of whether or not you have the door-hanger request displayed. I hadn't left anything of great value in my room but it was surprising none the less when I returned from town to drop a few things off and found maintenance finishing up. Checkout was even easier. If you're prepaid, just hand off the key and be on your way! Overall, I was pretty satisfied with my stay and would consider returning.

Unspectacular - but perfect for an over night stay, close to Breckenridge - hot tub available, nice lobby for hanging out, a couple of very nice golden retrievers.....

Hotel with really no amenities or luxuries

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Hotel was cheap but was expensive for what it offered.
Cons: Place needed to be fixed up and slightly renovated. The owners had dogs which should have been leashed.
Location: Skiing/snowboarding
The hotel was basically just a room and a bathroom. The room was pretty cramped and the bathroom was extremely small. The bathroom sink had issues with it draining and the room had a constant draft coming from the windows and door. Considering the damage seemed like it was pretty old and the owners did not seem motivated to do any renovations or upgrades.
