Desk Clerk was fun, helpful. The property is showing some wear.

Great locationPosted Aug 28, 2013
Pros: Where it was located
Cons: Hotel needs some repairs
Location: There are lots of places close by this hotel to eat and shop! That was great because most of it was within walking distance.
This hotel sit in the center of lots to do and was easy to find.

I had a wonderful experience with my Family! The staff was extremely attentive and welcoming! The hotel is great, with very comfortable rooms. The hotel is conveniently located near all shops and restaurants that anyone may need at home of away from home.

Nice HotelPosted Aug 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very nice hotel. Clean, friendly. The price should be a little lower for the area but overall it was great.

Nice hotel to stay at. The staff was very helpful and professional. good size room, very comfortable, and clean. The only thing that was a slight issue was that the room door lock was old and took a long time and many tries to get into room. Hotel might want to look into getting them replaced over time. I would stay at this hotel again.

Great hotel in a small town.Posted Jul 6, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, hot cookies right after we checked in.
Cons: The tub area had a little mold, but I am sure it is hard to keep that at bay in the humid south.
Location: Location was near many restaurants and shopping. We were visiting family, so didn't do anything near by.
Friendly staff, nice room, adequate breakfast foods available. Room was clean and smelled fresh. This Hampton Inn will meet up with all expectations.

Disgust!Posted Jun 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
The pool water was murky and the outside chairs covered in mildew. The worst part was that after my child had been swimming for about 10 minutes we found vomit in one end of the pool. This is unacceptable! We have stayed in this Hampton Inn before but won't be back!

Not impressedPosted May 26, 2013
Pros: The gym and breakfast
Cons: The room itself
Location: Downtown Sumter, near stores and shopping
I'm originally from Sumter, SC, born and raised. The Hampton hotel is not as old as many as the other hotels in the area, so I expected it to be nicer than it was. I paid over one hundred dollars for one night expecting the room to be comfortable and clean. The room itself was really shabby. The bed was alright, but the pillows were horrible and saggy. The unit in our room barely worked and kept freezing over. The pool was not yet usable so we had to walk to the hotel next door to theirs. The gym facility was well equipped and decent. The free breakfast was pretty decent also and the staff was nice. My biggest complaint is the quality of the room. It was a cross between a cheap motel and a semi-priced hotel. The bathroom was horrible and the shower was dirty. Someone left food in our refrigerator that had spoiled, which tells me they don't clean it regular. I would not stay here again.
