nice place to visitPosted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: good location and access to the hall way
Cons: front desk staff missing some of the time
Location: shop around and drive through the neighborhood, finding some beautiful houses around the Peaks. Such a nice place to live and have fun.

A Beautiful and Intimate Resort/LodgePosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
We loved the stay at this lodge. It was in a beautiful location and setting. The little Alpine village around it adds charm and warmth to the resort. The only low mark I would give is that since this is a winter resort the room can get warm in the summer time and with no AC we had to depend on the breezes to cool it down. Still we loved it and hated to leave.

Better than CahiltyPosted Aug 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
I've been to Sun Peaks numerous times. This time we chose the Coast Sundance because last time I was so annoyed by Cahilty Lodge I swore I would take my business elsewhere. However, the same problem showed up the moment I stepped up to the front desk: we arrived before 3 pm and our room was not ready. It seems to be a strict policy in Sun Peaks that they simply will NOT let you check in before 3 pm! Then when my key didn't work, there was no one at the front desk - just a sign saying they would be back without specifying a time. So I waited in the hallway (with a badly stained carpet) until I could convince a housekeeper to let me into my room (to his credit, he checked my ID and called someone!) Other than the (relatively minor) problems described above, and the very slow, single elevator this place was fine. The room was clean and comfy, a good price, and in a great location.

Weekend at Sun Dance Lodge (to Alex Fong's Art WS)Posted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: friendly service people
The people on the desk (especially Robin ) were very helpful and accomodating. It was a weekend with a lot of weddings and there was partying into the early hours of the morning. The clerk on the desk took action and the noise stopped. Overall, the stay was very pleasant and the people at the service desk were very friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. It had a little kitchenette which we found to be handy to refrigerate our fruit and drinks. It was great to have a morning coffee and a quick breakfast before our art workshop. It was extremely hot for Sun Peaks so the room was warm. They did have a fan and a window opened up to let in the cool evening air. However, it would have been nice to have air conditioning.

Not ImpressedPosted Aug 13, 2013
Cons: Noisy at night-pub across the street. No AC in rooms. Very hot in summer.
No air conditioning. Had to leave windows open because it was 30C. No air in room. Heard every drunk walking by outside till at least 1 am. Supplied with fan which had to run all night. Staff was good enough not to charge for under ground parking.
