Stay clear of this one.

The hot tub and pool were broken, the ice machine was out of order, and the bed hadn't been changed with fresh sheets. We couldn't call the front desk as it kept routing us to a number at which no one answered. The TV was old and the room didn't feel clean.

great location

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: location, location, location and price
Cons: cleanliness and I felt like I was imposing when I interrupted the front desk staff to check in
Location: Lefties Bar is just on the corner; yum, elk burgers. Sawtooth Brewery has a pub in the same building Sawtooth Wilderness for the great outdoors
Look for the Clarion if you are coming from the North. The Bellemont sign is not readily visible from HWY 75 and the Clarion sign is still on the facade of the building and easy to see from the HWY. This is a great spot to be able to walk around town. The staff were polite. Lovely comfortable pillows and bed. Hair in the bathroom was off-putting.

Do not stay here and the pictures are misleading.

Pros: Honestly, nothing.
Cons: If you purchase a failing business, do not open the doors until all is perfect. Be honest & upfront.
Location: Hotel was a bit difficult to get to. If things were improved, guests will feel it was worth the hassle... maybe.
I am a frequent traveler but was not familiar with this hotel. I had to make reservations due to a large conference and tournament in Sun Valley area booking up my familiar haunts. This hotel was very disappointing, so much so that my son and I did not stay in our room on our second night but bought camping gear instead. I have never been so let down. The ice machines were inoperable and the pool was not in working order either. The in-room television was a small "box" type of t.v. My son was told that the reason that things were in such disrepair was because of a buyout and that they were making efforts to improve the facilities. I wish, though, that they would have noted that in the description, pictures and price.

Disappointing Stay

Posted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: Only the location.
Cons: Everything!!!!!!
Location: Close to the downtown area with great restaurants and shops within a short walk.
You would figure that a Clarion Hotel that is in a city like Ketchum/Sun Valley, ID that is frequented by tourists who have plenty of money to spend would do something about its condition. The furniture is OLD and run down, the carpets have holes and when you go down to the lobby at 7 AM to get a cup of coffee they only have a dirty, small 10 cup coffee maker and their creamer is powdered. No alarm clocks in the rooms. Very small rooms. Poorly decorated with OLD furniture that has seen better days, and all of this for high prices.

Difficult night manager.

Posted Mar 9, 2015 on Hotels
The Bellemont Hotel, Sun Valley, is OK. HOWEVER, our flight did not land until after 10pm. Upon arrival a sign on the door said the hotel was full until Sunday. I called the phone number provided. The night clerk was agitated by our late arrival, telling me that the lobby closed at 11pm. I stated I had 2 reservations and nothing stipulated no late check in. He said he would be down in 10 minutes! I was travelling with my husband, daughter and her 2 and 4 year old kids. He would not allow us into the lobby, handed us key cards for 1 room out the back door. I mentioned we had 2 rooms, which aggravated him. We were brought into an area behind the desk, where he searched for our reservation, complaining about Expedia and calling us "supposed" guests. WE remained civilized, but adamant that we be given our rooms. When he couldn't quickly correct the problem, he asked us to leave. My husband said we needed our room, let's figure this out. The night manager said he would call the police if we didn't leave, which seemed like a good idea. So the Sun Valley Police came to the hotel. He offered that this had happened before and that the night clerk lacked "people skills." The police assisted in finding our reservation, but we could not use the elevator. New Management, PLEASE.
