Location, community feel

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Great location. Walking distance to everything you will need in town.
Cons: None
Location: Great mountain biking, bike patches, snow sports. Burger Grill has great and unique burgers, yummy salads, and desserts all at reasonable prices.
Great location in Ketchum, ID. Staff were knowledgeable and accommodating. Best thing about this experience was the people. If you are going to be very active during your stay in Sun Valley, then this hotel is a comfortable place to rest after a full day of activity. Close to outdoor activities, shopping, and restaurants.

Well priced hotel for overnight stay.

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Well priced. Beds were comfortable.
Cons: Refrigerator should be replaced-constant high pitch buzz.
Location: Situated in heart of Sun Valley. Nice to be able to walk from hotel to restaurant and sightsee around the town.
Booked two rooms. Appreciated having the two rooms next to one another with shared door.

Sawtooth Relay stay

Posted Jun 15, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Cleanliness of room and facilities, professionalism of the staff, information in the room (including WiFi password, etc)
Location: There is always a lot to do in the Sun Valley/Ketchum area
The hotel had changed names since I booked our stay through Expedia. I did not receive any communication regarding this change which made it a little difficult to locate. There was very limited parking. Staff was not very professional or helpful when we checked in. The room was not clean, the shower had a significant amount of dirt and staining. The pool and hot tub were filthy. I tried to call the front desk a number of times trying to get the Wi-fi password and no one ever answered the phone. The stay was terrible and I will never stay at this location again.

Hotel Changed Names

Posted Jun 12, 2014
The hotel is changing names. Signs still said Clarion which confused us when we arrived. Nothing fancy but good clean room reasonably priced for Sun Valley.

Great service, clean rooms, and a beautiful view depending on your room. Only thing missing was a breakfast.

False advertising

Posted May 4, 2014
Pros: The room was big.
Cons: Put better lighting in the bathroom, update the signage and the website.
Location: There were lots of places nearby, easy to get around.
First of all the sign on the hotel said "Clarion Inn" so it took a while and we finally had to call to find out the sign outside was dated. The Expedia site said breakfast was included but it turned out there was no breakfast, at all. The bathroom was dated and dingy.

Nice hotel close to the downtown.

Great staff. The television did not work. They did not seem to have any replacements. Some drywall damage.

Ketchum weekend ski visit.

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: Great location. Easy to walk to stores and restaurants.
Cons: Heater
Room was clean enough for a guy, but a gal probably wouldn't have been satisfied. Only other real minus was lack of heat. Couldn't ever get the heater past luke warm, even when it supposedly registered 90 degrees. It was one room that even with all your ski gear on, it was still comfortable. Probably won't go back.

Name was changed to Clarion

Posted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: The staff were very friendly
Cons: Needs updated
Location: Very little parking available, downtown so easy to get around and walking distances to restaraunts.
The hotel itself was nice, however they had changed their name and I had no idea, it took me awhile to find it.

Sad Property Condition in GREAT Area

Posted Jan 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
This property is located in the heart of Ketchum and extremely convenient to shopping and top notch restaurants. However, it is in really bad condition. The lobby is nice, but the rooms are pretty bad: Old carpet (wear shoes, slippers or socks at all times); not a working ice machine on the property, even in the bar; outlets in the room don't work consistently; old bathrooms; uneven heating/cooling of the room (either boiling hot or freezing cold). I found it really sad that a property in this location would be in such bad shape.
