Nice hotel with great servicePosted Oct 6, 2013
Pros: It's got pretty old-school decor and some of it is a bit worn but everything works great
Cons: Updated bathrooms
Stayed for a friend's wedding nearby. Very classy hotel with a victorian flair. The exterior of the property evokes Bavarian Alpine villages. Fun place to stay although I hear it's expensive in the high season. Service is excellent with turn down and they even gave us a free ride into town to pick up our renal after a night out.

Great location in Sun ValleyPosted Sep 18, 2013
Pros: Good service and location.
Cons: The facility is in desperate need of refurbishment.
While the staff is extremely friendly and polite, the hotel desperately needs to be refreshed. It is very dated with old case goods, carpet, hardware, television, bathroom fixtures and wall coverings. The bathrooms are very old and dilapidated. The showers appear to set for someone who is five foot or smaller.

Just average, not exceptional, not worth the premium price. Main restaurant was closed without prior notice, staff sent us to 'The Ram' restaurant as a substitute. It was a bit pricey and was not good at all, avoid it. I don't mind spending money but get aggravated when the product does not warrant the price.

It was nice, but the walls are paper thin so we could hear the people next to us clearly! And there is no fan in the bathroom, which I thought was odd. Also we had dinner in the lobby restaurant and it was very bland and awful! Beautiful, and clean hotel though, and the area is very beautiful!! And everyone that worked in the hotel was super friendly.

The Lodge is always the best place to stay in Sun Valley. Thanks to Hotels.com, we can bring our older children and families. We love it.

Wonderful time. We'll be back!Posted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
The lodge and grounds were pleasant and welcoming. We went right after a fire had threatened the area and there was virtually no one there. That won't happen again. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only problem with the room was the TV was set in such a way that, on some channels, the picture was stretched to fit the screen adding 100 lbs to skinny actresses and fit sportsmen and women. Maintenance was very accommodating and got a picture that we liked. We had a delicious meal with excellent service with lovely live piano. We enjoyed strolling the grounds and watching the ice skaters on the outdoor rink from our room and the patio outside the bar. Great fun. We are planning a return visit. Ketchum, the town nearby, was also pleasant for walking, shopping and noshing.

Perfect for music festival concerts, attended fourPosted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
Just completed our second consecutive stay in August. Enjoyed it even more by being familiar with where things are located and how everytihing works. As before, all personnel were friendly and helpful. The young people are very well trained, courteous and enjoyable as well as internationally diverse and interesting. The beautifully kept grounds are a wonderful addition to the complex. We find it a very relaxing vacation spot!
