Superior Business Hotel in SuratPosted Jan 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were very happy with the hotel which was packed 100% full of guests due to religious holiday period. The staff coped well and worked hard to accomodate so many people. We would highly recommend this hotel. And the central location is a real bonus.

Great Restaurant/Food in hotelPosted Mar 15, 2012
Pros: Great Restaurant & Food
Cons: Reception area dark & damp.
Location: In the old side of town with lots of old buildings at the back
Hotel looks great in the photos and so our expectations were a little bit higher than average. In fact the Reception are was dark and damp. It could do well with more lights as Tourist would like to receive that secured and refreshing impression when they enter any hotel. Rooms had old furniture and had a 'not so refreshing' smell. One female receptionist was trying to assist and she gave us the keys to our rooms without activating the keys. We had to come down the lift twice as we couldn't open the door. Screaming in the Reception area worked for me as the manager quickly walked out and assisted me. Two trainees - one from Spain and one from Russia stood in the reception area sympathising us but unable to assist as this one female in charge would not give them the opportunity to assist. Restaurant and food was great. Other staff in hotel was polite and courteous.

An old hotel but in a convennient location. Really requires updating and some boost in its customer service. Staff friendly but not helpful. Showing its age.

Best Hotel in Surat!Posted Feb 23, 2011
I found my stay extremely comfortable from the time I checked in to the time I checked out. The food was always great, room service prompt and always with courteous staff. All hotel staff were very helpful if asked any questions. As I was a solo female traveller I felt very safe all the time. I decided in the last minute that I needed to extend my stay for another night and The Front desk manager was able to accomodate my request without having me stand around for the processing like other hotels. I would definately go back and stay at Lords Plaza Surat, and recommend all my friends and family to do the same.
