Nice hotel close to the Gatwick south terminal.

Nice hotel nothing fancy. Within walking distance to a Tesco and the small hamlet of Horley.

nice, cheap and quiet for a one-night stay!

Pros: Nice touch with a towel-swan sculpture which pleased the children. Also a free eighties-style games console in the lounge was agreat success with the
Location: well it's right next to Gatwick airport!!
We did a last minute booking of a family room which was completely satisfactory. We did not need breakfast (which was an added cost) but did have to pay £7.50 for overnight parking at the neighbouring hotel. All in all a good deal and a pleasant experience.

Great place to stay for an early morning flight

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Location, clean, comfortable.
Location: Close to the airport. Grocery store up the road about 10 minutes.
Nothing to complain about. Easy shuttle access to and from the airport. Decent sized room, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again if I had an early flight from Gatwick.

Handy for airport

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and quiet. We were able to check into room early morning.
Cons: Info on shuttle bus when arriving as mentioned above.
Location: Shell petrol station next door sells sandwiches, drinks etc. if the restaurant/bar in hotel is closed.
Shuttle bus info on the wall at airport and on website needs to be updated. We waited at the airport for 30 mins for the G 7 bus that never arrived only to be told by a bus driver that we needed a G1 or G2 as the G7 only ran at night. Having just got off a 10hour flight with jet lag it was rather annoying.

Convenient hotel close to Gatwick Airport

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Conveniently close to the airport, ideal for overnight stay.
Cons: Wifi access via vouchers seems like an unnecessary nuisance.
Location: I chose only to stay close to Gatwick airport for an early morning flight. Otherwise, why would anybody want to be in the middle of nowhere?
The hotel staff were very kind and personable. Room was neat, very comfortable bed, well stocked. Decent wifi. My only problem was that the Airport shuttle arrived a bit later than announced and took a good while getting to the airport (which is only 5 min away), so I barely made it in time before they close check in for my flight.

Convenient for Gatwick

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: Clean, quiet, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, pleasant bar, convenient for Gatwick, reasonable price for UK
Cons: N/A
Location: 10 minutes to Gatwick airport on shuttle bus.
The hotel is one of the closest to Gatwick airport, with a shuttle bus (fare 3 pounds) that took maybe 10 minutes to get to the airport. Check-in was efficient, but I didn't like my room (close to the elevators) and the staff were happy to give me a replacement room. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet, with a pot to make tea or instant coffee. The bar provided pub food and a reasonable selection of beer, cider and wine. Check out was also efficient. I needed to stay overnight for a early flight out of Gatwick Airport and the Airport Inn was a good place to stay.

A good stay if noisy...

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: The food was exceptional. Excellent dinner at the bar in the evening and a very good breakfast, to be recommended, in the morning. Good shuttle too.
Cons: Soundproofing. Heard EVERY word from the people in the next room, woke us up - and they weren't even talking loudly.
Location: Handy for airport
Just a one night stay which was fine - beds a little small but all very clean and comfortable, if basic.

Receptionists are rude

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Reception lady is very very rude, lacks knowledge and respect to people. The guy is polite but not professional. Just to let others know, this hotel is part of Britannia group hotels. I stayed with this group all over the UK and most of their staff are unskilled, impolite and unprofessional. The hotel in general is okay for those travelling from Gatwick, but do not recommend it for any other purpose. Only stay here if you are travelling next morning
