Basic but pleasant hotel close to Gatwick

Posted Oct 1, 2014
A basic hotel but surprisingly comfortable for £45 per night. Staff very accommodating including late check out and bed very comfortable. Parking extra £7.50 at Travelodge next door. Would stay again.

Pre airport stay

Posted Sep 26, 2014
We booked this hotel through Expedia. When we arrived at the hotel they had our booking but no rooms for us. The staff, especially the manager was very rude. Told us we had to stay at their sister hotel. I was rather annoyed. They took our money and but we had until 3 PM on the day to cancel. The hotel could have called us to advise us there were no rooms and we cld have cancelled. We did not like the alternative hotel we had to stay in at all. Very old, smelt and needed a lot of work. The manager at Airport Inn made the whole experience worse with is dreadful customer service skills and 'tough luck' attitude.

Ideal if you have an early flight next day.

Pros: Closeness to airport.
Cons: Wasn't there long enough to see anything that could be improved.
Comfortable hotel, check- in and out was easy. Wine was terrible.

Nice hotel only 10 minutes to airport by shuttle

Posted Sep 18, 2014
Pros: Closeness to the Airport.
Cons: On the day we couldn't get through to the phone line to confirm how to get there from Gatwick airport train station so ended up taking a taxi for £10.
Location: Very close to Airport.
we only stayed at this hotel to catch an early morning flight (the price of staying one night here was cheaper than getting a taxi at 3am in the morning and you get a good nights sleep too). The Hotel was nice with a good quality bed.

Pros: Location to the airport and little town.
Cons: Most things.
Cleaning of room was not great. First night there was a problem with hair in the tub. This was quickly resolved with the manager of housekeeping getting involved. Some days room was quickly cleaned as trash was not taken out and bathroom floor looked like it had not been swept. Manager of Housekeeping appeared to be trying to keep on top of cleaning but the rest of housekeeping staff did not appear to be on the same page as her.
