Thoroughly recommended. Very friendly staff - immaculate rooms - great setting....and all for the same price as a yawn-inducing Travel-premier-holiday-lodge-type-inn. Would definitely visit again.

Everything was good. Good price, good room, excellent location, good service etc. and a better than average breakfast. The outside guttering needs a bit of attention though.Good experience and I would definately recommend.

I've stayed at Gorse Hill a couple of times for work and leisure and it's a nice hotel in a pretty location. The rooms are good, clean and comfortable and the check in staff are very helpful. However, there is just one thing that you need to work on - service! The time for food to come out takes too long and the staff are not proactive enough in taking your orders, making sure you are ok etc. On one occasion I had ordered a pudding and after half and hour inquired to its whereabouts as it was only a small one and was told that there were none in ready and the kitchen were making it. Why was I not informed to start with? Another example of service would be having to wait for minutes to be seated for breakfast when there was only a couple of other diners and not being asked if I wanted tea or coffee for the whole time I was in the restaurant. Little things to make this a great hotel!
