Nice room, shady parking, good breakfast

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Nice room, shady parking, helpful staff, good breakfast with an omelet as well as cereal, and hot chocolate, tea and coffee available all day at desk.
Location: Remember to visit the real downtown, very cute with numerous cafes and coffee shops, a block away from the main road which has no personality.
This is a clean, comfortable, pleasant hotel that offers a good breakfast. I checked in late and left early, so I can't say much about the amenities but I do want to point out two things. 1) The lower parking lot to the right when you exit the front is nice and shady next to the trees, so if you are leaving a little later in the day, be sure to park there so your car isn't too hot when you get in. 2) After I checked out I had a business meeting and the staff arranged to let me come back to the hotel afterwards to change out of my suit into comfortable driving clothing as I was leaving town, which was very kind of them. Since then, whenever I come to town, I stay there — even when I don't have to change clothes!

I would stay here again

Posted Aug 20, 2014
The free breakfast was great! I would recommend this place to someone who's just staying for a night or two. It's not the Hilton, but it's decent.

Best Days Inn I have stayed in.

Posted Aug 10, 2014
I had a bad experience at a different Days Inn so I was l not sure about staying here so I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The hotel is clean, good price, nice staff and close to the shops and restaurants in the downtown area.

Great Hotel

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: I liked that it was clean inside and outside and everyone was very friendly.
Cons: Keep it like it is.
Location: It is right on Hwy 40 and there is a lot to see and do. It was a nice base for sightseeing. The town is wonderful.

Good for stroll into town

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Really lovely town.
Cons: Update the air con units
Location: Fantastic pizza restaurant in town, also great old-fashioned ice-cream parlour/toy shop with amazing self playing piano from songs on rolls of paper.
Very pleasant, spacious rooms and bathrooms. Only problem was very noisy air conditioning, so loud that it couldn't be left on at night even on low so then we had problems sleeping due to heat.

Great hotel central to all of Amador County

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Hotel was clean and quiet. breakfast was great and the price was right.
Location: Near the Amador County fair. The gold country and all the various attractions. Calaveras County and the mountains are a short drive. Plenty to do.
Friendly staff and reasonable rates. Always a pleasure to stay here.

an average place in all aspects

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Cons: More tables in breakfast area. More comfortable sofa bed.
We stayed over weekend in a king suite. The room was nice and spacious but the sleeper sofa was in pretty bad condition (very uncomfortable and we couldn't close it after using it as the metal frame moved out of place [reported to the hotel, perhaps they will fix it]. The main issue we had was the breakfast area has total of 4 tables for hotel of 80 rooms that is not really reasonable. Overall, just OK place.

Great place for the price

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Stayed mid week for three nights. Got a great discount and twenty percent off on top of that for the 3 night stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. Its a good location for business or pleasure in the Amador-Calaveras area. Its not the fanciest or most glamorous hotel in the area. But who travels and then sits in their room all day anyway?
