Beautiful grounds
Posted Jan 17, 2013
A lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. My only gripes are that it stated on the website, when booking the hotel, no under 18's and there were lots of children and in the hotel guide it said that there was a turn down service with fresh towels and more bottled water, the turn down service did not happen. I would have liked more water as I don't drink tea or coffee. The spa was great, but I would have preferred no children in the pool and spa area. Word of warning. The spa is in a separate building that you must go through the grounds to get to. I didn't know this and wore my fluffy slippers, they ended up filthy, best to take flip flops.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful settings

Gorgeous hotel in gorgeous settings! When you first see the hotel it takes your breath away. We were running late for our spa appointments and the team there were so accommodating and did everything they could to still fit us in. The pool area and sauna/steam room is lovely and sitting out on the terrace for pre-dinner drinks was lovely.

Staff were attentive, room was clean and comfortable, facilities had everything you might want. The only problem was the dining room was full, not their fault we should have booked earlier and a sign of a good restaurant.

Comfortable hotel with spa

Stayed for one night to meet up with friends. The full body massages were very good (£60 for 55 minutes). Food in the restaurant was good (not great) but expensive and the service was slow. Afternoon tea was good. Eggs Benedict at breakfast was a little cold.
