Overall it was an enjoyable experience. however the view from the room window itself was terrible bins and rundown back of building. The sink and some tiles on floor were both cracked. It had clean bed. and I liked separate sleeping room for daughter. the restaurant was timeless classic. It had beautiful bar area and nice pool. grounds were fantastic.

Tired and dirty
The family room was a good size, but very tired and tatty, and not very clean. There were cobwebs everywhere and coffee rings left on one surface, so it clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned. Carpet was also in need of thorough vacuuming. Disappointing at any time, concerning during Covid pandemic.

ever again
Had to ask for room change as shower was disgusting and not clean, changed to another room and this had no towels init. Balcony was dirty too, was very disappointed and to top it off wasn’t given the pin to get out the car park,so embarrassingly had a que of cars building up as nobody would answer the tannoy!

Price for a family room was very reasonable. We chose this hotel because of the leisure facilities, we were only down for 1 night because we were visiting Crufts. We arrived in the afternoon and spent a hour or so in the swimming pool, the kids loved it. I was looking forward to a relax in the spa pool but it wasn't very good so didn't bother. The steam room was good though. Our room was a great size for a family of 4 and the beds were comfortable. However, the room smelled like a pack of dogs had stayed in there and done their business all over the carpet. We were told that no dogs are allowed in the family rooms but I am not convinced. The room decor and bathroom could do with a bit of TLC also. We probably would not stay at this hotel again.

My initial allocated room had very tired looking decor and was musty smelling. I was offered another room which was of a higher decorative standard but unfortunately above the kitchens and so very noisy and i was unable to ooen the windows due to cooking smells.

Lovely hotel and amenities had traveled for Crufts so location is great and only 30 min to Nec The spa facilities were great. Just what’s needed after a long journey. Pool and sauna and steam room and gym. And staff were welcoming and helpful. Towel supplies too excellent. Bar served delicious food prepared well. All round great stay.

The bar staff ignored us and would serve the male customers first. Got drinks wrong. Phoned receptionist who didn’t pick up, so had to walk back down, I am disabled! The room was cold and no heating. Won’t be coming back. Certainly not worth £140!

Nice hotel but poorly laid out.
Poorly laid out hotel. Expect to walk miles up and down stairs even taking the lifts into account. Signage not great and easy to get lost. Staff were great and it was clean and tidy.

The staff on reception are absolutely fabulous, very welcoming and friendly. Staff in restaurant not so much, although food was excellent and worth the wait in the end, considering restaurant was very quiet we had a long wait for both food and drinks to arrive. The hotel itself is in desperate need of updating as it is looking past its best. Although rooms are clean and tidy the decor and facilities definitely need a re vamp.. We booked 2 nights the first night our shower didn’t work properly and the temperature knob came off in my hand, the shower temp was cold before that then scalding hot after! Luckily that room had a bath so we were able to wash. The hairdryer did not work, for the 2nd night we were moved to another room- thanks to the lovely Lady on reception . This room was much nicer however still in need of a refurbish as tiles in the bathroom were taped up. In the 2nd room the bathroom bin had not been emptied from previous occupant!!!

Awful Stay Rooms over priced - out dated, holes in doors and walls, mismatch furniture, carpet and curtains. Slow restaurant service - Half clear your table and serve other guests, bar staff supply incorrect drinks, not all food ordered is received.

Hotel in poor condition, dated and in need of TLC.
Value for money, however would think twice before saying. The hotel is in a poor condition of repair and is 70’s decor. I would look at other hotels in the area. However the hotel is a a price, so in relation to the cost is reasonable.

Very disappointing New Year’s Eve spent at this hotel the lift was broken and getting around the hotel was like walking through a escape room maze. room did not look like what was described in the the booking. shower was really cold and low pressure. room was freezing. The tv only had 4 channels, bed was rock hard and furniture was old and dusty, draws were broken curtains had stains on them disappointed in the hotel as I could of got a better nights stay at travel lodge or premier innn for the price I payed will not recommend this hotel as it is overpriced for the cheap experience and stay

No bar food because of Party night and got notice
Was disappointed overall with this stay. My first impressions was to find the toilet had be used and never flushed. There was no soap either. On returning back to the room that evening there was a high pitched sound coming from the radiator I tried to regulate it and stopped to a degree. There were toe nail clippings near the radiator so it looks like the floor was never hovered. When I reported the radiator in fairness they moved me to another room. This room was far better and looked much cleaner. The following day after spending a long day at a funeral I returned back to the hotel and once washed I returned to the bar for something to eat to be told that they were not serving food between 6.30 and 9.30pm because of parties. Talk about isolating their residents I was not the only one as I saw two other gentlemen also refused. I proceeded to reception to ask if we could get something to eat as this was 6.45pm as i was told by bar staff we could order after 9.30. I was first told thats what we do! no food during party night between 6.30 and 9.30 if your not involved in the parties. They were delighted the night before with our money for dinner but that night we were treated differently. After sticking to my ground at reception one of the gentlemen said he would ask if we could order from the party menu. There was a lady there she was not very helpful when I told her that they were not looking after their residents. Anyway ordered from party menu but the food was poor.

Stay was just ok biggest issue i had was couldnt regulate the heat in the room woke at 2am with the heat amd found it very diffiicult to get back to sleep. Also on Friday evening we arrived back to the hotel after spending a long day at a funeral to be told that they were not serving dinner to residents between 6.30 and 9.30. After complaining about this I was told by some female behind the counter that is what they do and we would have to wait till 9.30. Talk about isolating residents staying at the hotel. After holding my ground on the issue they eventually said they would see if we could eat from the party menu which we decided to go with it as there was nothing else and to be truthful the food from the party menu was poor as i couldny eat the turkey it was so tough. Would I stay there again? No There was just one girl on the first night we stayed and she was so helpful and courteous the others should take a leaf out of this girls book. Disappointed to say the least
