Updated, historic hotel, close to the city center, Excellent staff, comfortable clean and comfortable rooms with a nice bathroom. Great breakfast buffet - however, quite a few external guests came to the hotel for breakfast on the Holidays, so reservations of a table for “peak breakfast times” is recommended. The restaurant also offers very good, contemporary German cuisine Regarding transport to the airport in Munich the hotel works with an external, local car company - however, reserve for a pick up from the hotel with a good margin as today (still a Holiday in Germany) there was quite a delay regarding the pick up.

Location is excellent and they offered valet parking which was great. Breakfast was fabulous. Good shopping nearby. Would definitely stay there again.

Elegant Comfort
This is a delightful hotel where the rooms are spacious, the staff and friendly and helpful. The breakfasts and meals are amazing - definitely worth the pre-purchase. The hotel is in the most fashionable part of Augsberg.

Great location, professional staff, and outstanding breakfast. Staff made dinner reservations for us and stored our bags because our rooms were not yet ready. Once the rooms were ready, our bags were brought to our rooms with no issues. Will always stay at this hotel in Augsburg.

Great location and generally nice rooms, but maintenance has suffered over the past 2 years. In our last room, the sliding door to the bathroom could be closed at most halfway. How this went unnoticed is a mystery.

We really appreciated the staff’s treatment of our dog when we checked in. They provided a welcome bag with doggy treats, doggy bags, and a door tag telling the staff that there was a dog in the room if we had to leave her which we fortunately did not have to do at any time during our stay. The daily additional pet fee was 19 Euros per day which would eventually get expensive for longer stays.

Stylish hotel on Augsburg’s impressive Maximillian Street. Large public areas hung with impressive art. Our room was well appointed but with very little natural light. Parking expensive.

The heated floor in bathroom didn’t work. The dial was broken. The room was hot. Even with window open we were roasting. However, with room directly over the doors to the bar, it was noisy way beyond midnight, thus didn’t want windows open. Finally, after asking for a fan, we were comfortable. But, the room was small & we stumbled over the fan. Thus, the fan was not ideal. Perhaps down comforters less thick would be better, or AC?

It's a classic, beautiful hotel, modernized for today's traveler. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with nice furniture and decor. The bathroom is amazing: large, well-lit and has probably one of the nicest tubs if you like to take baths (I enjoyed the shower; my wife, the tub). Everything about the hotel, from its friendly and helpful staff, to the bar and restaurant, spa facilities and lobby wait areas are first rate. The location is also excellent, and walkable to the commercial area of town. This was the first time I'd experienced the Christmas Market in Germany, and we all had a wonderful stay. We'll be back.

Great hotel - right in the centre of town on the most beautiful street. Super room, lovely bar and nice staff. Excellent value. Small niggle is that - speaking as a person with frizzy hair - it would be nice if they provided shampoo and conditioner in the room rather than just a body wash that doubled as shampoo. I looked like a poodle in Augsburg.

Beautiful property within walking distance to all the attractions and restaurants. Great onsite parking. Large room and bath. Only complaint is the bed. It was extremely hard and you could feel the springs under you in the night. This was intended as a stopover to rest at the beginning of the road trip portion on a long holiday through Europe. It was a challenge to sleep the bed was so uncomfortable which did not make for a “restful” stopover. With accommodations this nice a higher quality mattress should be a given.

Beautiful old hotel in excellent condition. Wonderful atmosphere -- decor and staff. Excellent location. We were sad to leave after only three nights.

Only bad point was slow service in cocktail bar in evening. Breakfast was exceptional, with very friendly and helpful staff. They need to sort out problem with bar staffing.
