Spa
Located on the hotel's third floor, Amora Spa offers a relaxing retreat in the heart of the CBD. Adjacent to the fitness room, pool, and spa tub, one beauty therapy and four candle-lit treatment rooms welcome guests with a blend of dark wood and contemporary furnishings. A comprehensive treatment menu is carried out by therapists trained in Thailand at the Banyan Tree Spa Academy ensuring all services are consistently carried out by capable hands.
With a focus on relaxation and restoring balance and energy, Amora Spa provides escape for the senses to a calming oasis in the middle of Sydney's bustling city centre. A variety of treatments combine Eastern traditions with modern Western products and techniques. All services include a warm-towel foot massage as well as specially-blended tea in the post-treatment lounge.
Serenity (150 minutes):
This session begins with Amora's signature massage using East-meets-West techniques to tune up circulation. A milk and rice pouch treatment, in which a warm pouch of steamed rice and warm milk is passed over the body, nourishes the skin and relieves aching muscles.
Equilibrium (90 minutes):
Get back to basics with treats for the body and face. Let the therapist knead tight muscle knots on the back, followed by a face massage to bring the whole body back into equilibrium. This treatment varies in intensity according to guests' personal preferences.
Dreams (90 or 120 minutes):
This calming experience is the perfect remedy for jet lag, especially for tired and worn-out bodies. The therapist uses long, firm strokes with warm sesame oil to soothe tense muscles, synchronising the body clock and mind.
Ibu's Secret (90 or 120 minutes):
Adapted from traditional Balinese techniques, this deep-tissue massage aids blood circulation and relieves tension. Invigorating effects are enhanced by the warming properties of turmeric and eucalyptus extracts in the formulated essential oils used.
Essentials (150 minutes):
This total session is an essential part of beauty therapy. Combine any choice of massage and facial for an invigorating treat that brings about a glow in the face. Fatigue fades away as the session soothes senses and smoothes the skin for a refreshed and rejuvenated feel.
Organic Refresher Facial (60 minutes)
Start with a light yet invigorating exfoliation from organically grown rosehip and maize or almond and mineral. This is followed by a peach mask packed with fresh fruit pulps and the juice of peaches, cherries, carrots and pumpkins to enrich the complexion. A serum and freshly-whipped moisturiser leaves skin revitalised.
Organic Men's Cleanser (90 minutes):
Finely crushed almonds and minerals gently exfoliate, detoxify, and cleanse while a massage with extracts of stone-crop cactus re-hydrates and heals. A cream pumpkin and orange mask made from organic ingredients completes this treatment.

“Perfect.”
I needed a hotel for just for one night, but I could have stayed here much longer! The location was perfect and the bed was comfortable. I had just arrived in Sydney after traveling for 24 hours and was welcomed to the hotel by a friendly staff, clean room, hot shower and a great swim in the pool. Perfect. Breakfast the next morning was very nice with a buffet that had everything, including homemade mango yogurt which I will dream about.
“Expensive”
This is a nice hotel in a good location but, as everything else in Australia (particularly Sydney), it was expensive beyond belief. No wifi, costly use of internet and parking, breakfast buffet cost is eye-popping.
“Not flexible”
Amora hotel provides good location good service but were never able to provide the service as promised.
“Lucky choice.”
It is perfectly located for access to business, the Rocks, ferries and other transport (and is adjacent to Wynard station, which was not obvious). We had a small jr suite that more than met our needs. We felt we were in luxury. This must be comparable to the best hotels I have stayed in including Four Seasons, etc.
“Well located and warm hotel”
Very nice hotel, with warm service. The upgrade to a superior room was very reasonable, and we enjoyed our stay in the hotel.
“Amora Hotel - Sydney Destination”
10 minute walk to Circle Quay; 10 minute walk to botanic gardens; 15 minutes to Darling Harbor; Near monorail. Amazingly convenient. Hotel itself is very well maintained and a lot of fun. The restaurants are worth eating at. We were very surprised at how much we liked the hotel and the location. We highly recommend it.
“Superb location, hip hotel, and excellent customer service!”
The day we checked in Amora was busy. They didn't have our room ready and kept telling us it would be "30 more minutes". That's the bad news. The great news is that they were gracious, accomodating, and kind in acknowledging their delay and even upgrading our room free of charge as a result. This hotel is centrally located, the lobby/rooms are lovely, and the staff are well trained as customer service professionals.
“Excellent service overall”
Excellent service overall for my stay at the Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney. The rooms were clean, stylish and well-maintained. The staff was professional and courteous. The location was convenient for all the attractions in central Sydney. A few small things detracted from the experience, internet service in the rooms cost extra-a relatively large hourly or more manageable weekly fee. We lost power for about eight hours during one of the first days I was there leading to large numbers of people fumbling up and down 20 flights of pitch black emergency stairwells with nothing but laughably dim, hotel provided glow sticks to try to guide them. These small issues howevere were only counterpoints to a very positive and professional overall hotel experience.
“Convenient, comfortable but not quite 5 star.”
We found the location to be very convenient, as it was a short walk to Circular Quay. The facilities were comfortable and satisfactory but not quite what we expected to be five star. The hotel seems more suited to the business traveler. The staff was friendly and helpful and we would stay there again.
“never again”
For some reason, they included a rollaway bed when we already have twins. And the rollaway bed and pillow were filled with thin hairs. The people at the counter were nice, but the people who answered the phones for room service and stuff were really rude. But the location of this place is great - we were able to walk to the opera house in like 15 minutes. It's also by a train station,so there's a lot of food there.
