Great locationPosted Jul 31, 2014
Location: Right in the middle of the Sydney (The Rock)
Although the hotel is a bit old, it is located right in the heart of Sydney and is in an excellent condition. The price is very reasonable!

Great location, unique lodgingsPosted Jul 27, 2014
My adult daughter and I stayed at the Australian Herotage and found it to be exactly as described. It is not a "run of the mill" standard hotel; it has the charm and character of rooms above a pub, with antique furnishings and a charming breakfast lounge that match the age and condition of the building. The shared showers have good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The pub closes atidnight, but can be noisy until then. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location is excellent, and we would stay there again to see more of the Rocks area.

Friendly bed and breakfast to stay in.Posted Jun 7, 2014
Location: Lots to do in The Rocks area which overlooks the Sydney Opera House.
I will come back here. The staff, food and ambience were great. I happened to be there during Vivid, however, so it was noisy with celebrants. But that was okay. I was in the heart of the light show.

Not worth the money paidPosted May 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
Free breakfast was a joke. Unless you get up at 7 am, you get cereal or cereal where. Others getting up later get a better choice. I wasn't impressed not being told when I booked it was shared bathrooms. The location is difficult for disabled persons. I would not stay there again or recommend the hotel..

Pleasant, but not for light sleepersPosted May 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is very well-situated - I easily walked to the Opera House and other attractions. The service is minimal, but independent travelers won't mind. I was greeted warmly when I arrived and then left to my own devices, which suited me fine. The room and shared facilities were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The only problem, which is of great significance to light sleepers, is the proximity of the pub. It is a pub, not a bistro, downstairs, with outdoor seating and an enthusiastic stereo. I never once got to sleep before midnight, when the pub closed. If you're planning on being out late or if you're a heavy sleeper, you should be fine. But delicate sleepers, continue your hotel search.

InterestingPosted May 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
We were quite surprised at the accomodations for the price we paid but overall it was nice. Not used to accommodation that has separate amenities from the rooms but there only being about 10 rooms it wasnt too bad. They could use some more attention to the breakfast there was never enough butter's and some pastry's would have been nice. But as far as location goes A1 it wasnt far to walk to the Opera House or The Bridge and the markets on the weekend were fabulous. Oh and their pizza's were great and the staff were very nice.

For a quick and inexpensive booking at the very last minute it served its purpose. Didn't realise that it was shared bathroom though. Great pizza in the bar.

Central location, nice roomsPosted May 11, 2014
In a good location on the rocks - close to the bridge and opera house and harbour. Rooms nicely furnished. Good toilets and showers. Breakfast was nice. Wifi was poor - could only get access at certain parts of the hotel not always in your room

A weekend in Sydney.Posted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: The hotel has an ambience of years gone by, friendly and comfortable.
Cons: The bedrooms could do with a coat of paint.
Location: It is very close to the overseas terminal and right in the Rocks area. It is an ideal location for sightseeing in and around Sydney.
We found the Australian Heritage Hotel on Expedia, where it was easy to book on-line. As we were attending a performance of Madama Butterfly, a weekend in Sydney was ideal and the hotel was within our walking distance. The price for the accommodation for weekend was also attractive.
