Pros: Location and apartment was well appointed.
Location: Ferries at the door, restaurants, pubs and coffee shops in walking distance. Amazing walks around the harbour
The view from our balcony was amazing, welcome pack was terrific. Ferries were at our doorstep. Pubs, coffee shops and restaurants were in walking distance. Enjoyed it so much we booked again for next year

Nowhere else I would rather stayPosted Nov 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
This was our second extended stay at Balmain Wharf Apartments, and we still loved the place every bit as much. Amazing views of 'The Bridge',the city skyline and a constant flurry of activity on the water, from small yachts to large cruise liners. With only 4 apartments in the beautiful old sandstone building, it feels more like a private residence than a commercial hotel chain. Lots of interesting walks around Balmain, with its narrow lanes, terrace houses, shops, restaurants, parks, etc.; but with the ferry at your doorstep it is still very easy to get to Downtown Sydney or Darling Harbour. Yes, the buses still reverse around with their beeping just outside, and you can hear people moving around upstairs at times, BUT these are very minor irritations, compared with the sense of restful luxury and stunning location Balmain Wharf Apartments offer.

Spectacular locationPosted Oct 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
These apartments very comfortable, well appointed and have lots of complimentary stuff (nibbles, a bottle of wine, fruit basked). But the real draw card is the multimillion dollar view. All my rooms (in #3) looked out towards a rather close looking Harbour Bridge and Barangaroo. And pretty much outside the front door is the ferry which can take you quickly to a wide range of locations. You need to be prepared to take public transport (which works a treat, especially with an opal card), but if so this place is a real delight.

Great apartment with view of the bridgePosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: The view of the bridge is spectacular and the apartment is very nice.
Cons: There were a few problems that I reported and I expect that they will be attended to.
Location: All of Balmain within walking distance & ferries/buses to city & beyond
I stayed in Balmain to be close to family. It was good to be able to walk to their place but a problem (impossible) to get to the airport by transport in time for my early flight.

Very nice apartmentPosted Apr 25, 2014
Superbly appointed apartment, excellent complimentary starter pack. Fabulous views. But, the noise from the buses reversing and turning around directly in front of the apartment was rather intrusive.

Great view but VERY noisyPosted Dec 30, 2013
Pros: It's location and ease of public transport, lots of cafes, restaurants and access to the city and Darling Harbour.
Cons: Something done about the excessive noise factor.
Location: Next to Balmain Wharf access to Darling Harbour, buses to town and Darling St cafes and restaurants.
Got there and they had dead flowers on the table, the dining table rocked so badly that I couldn't use it for 2 days & had to eat out on the deck, which had a great view but not ideal when the southerlies blew up on the harbour. Parking booked but they stuffed this up, parking in Balmain is really hard to get for more than 2 hrs. As a consolation they gave me a visitor parking permit, but this was only eight months out of date, and I got booked. So, the noise. If you can handle feeling like you are sleeping in the middle of a dance floor till all hours of the night because of the booze cruises going by your door, have buses turning every five to ten mins with their reversing beeping going outside your door, and can handle people above you walking around, which you can hear, doors slamming at all hours, then this is the place for you. Owned by Bannisters Mollymook, I expected more sadly, very disappointed.

Just perfectPosted Oct 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
Absolutely loved the one bedroom front apartment. Comfy bed, good shower, restful decor, very friendly staff. Well equipped, apart from no washing machine. Views straight out towards the harbour bridge, and the pleasure of seeing ferries, cruise liners, tugs, sailboats etc passing right in front of your window. Outstanding location for access to ferries and buses. Buying a weekly Multi 3 transport ticket was invaluable. Yes, the buses turning outside are noisy, and the lamppost was in the way of an uninterrupted view ; but the noise never bothered us. Staying at the Balmain Wharf Apartments made our holiday!
