Cheap and clean stay close to Central StationPosted Dec 9, 2013
Stayed with my older parents in 4 people ensuite, clean, simple and cheap (in Sydeny) and simple breakfast included. Walking distance (3min) to Central Station and George St--to catch the Free CBD bus on George St. Overall enjoy our stay. Also can leave our luggage there for free after we check out, very helpful.

Excellent position central to transport systemsPosted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: The location is excellent. Close to trains and buses. Shopping and food outlets. The Hostel is clean and functional. Friendly staff.
Cons: I would have liked another table in the room or bench
Location: The location is brilliant close to central train station, highly recommend the Thai restaurant next door. Close to shopping, restaurants and Chinatown
We visited Sydney for a wedding. The Big Hostel was a central location for us to get to the wedding in Manly but enjoy the sights and sounds of the city. We only had a few nights but we felt like we crammed lots into our stay. The staff were friendly and a wealth of knowledge. The rooms are tidy and clean and suited our needs. The bathroom was clean and presentable. Cleaning staff were pleasant and helpful.

more like a hostel, too pricey for a single roomPosted Jun 25, 2013
Pros: the location
Cons: maybe the rules in the lounge with less noise....
Location: it was very near the central station, china town and also george street. There was plenty of stores and pubs a very short walk away.
this is a hostel with students who go there on a working visa trying to find a job and stay there long-term. The noise is unbelievable, both in the lounge on the ground floor as well as on the floors with the single rooms even. There was no proper window in my room (single en-suite), there was light going in the room but no air. Otherwise it was clean. I didn't use the lounge much, just stayed there for 15 min each night to use the wi fi, as it was only on the ground floor in the lounge.

Quite convenientPosted May 10, 2013
Pros: Price, location
Cons: Very small TV and highly placed on wall. Better not to have one at all...
Location: close to railway station and city centre
Basic (this is a backpacker place) but very convenient, clean and friendly staff. Good solution for short / transit stay. Very good Thai restaurant close to the hostel.
