Tried to enter the hotel and the door was locked and boarded shut. Called 4 different phone numbers relating to BreakFree and NO ONE answered. We were stuck in the city with no accommodation and had to book somewhere else. Absolute joke.

Good sized rooms with all basic amenities. Brilliant location- easy walk to Darling Harbour attractions but great soundproofing so not disturbed by neighbours or from bars and restaurants in close proximity. Aircon and heating worked well. Could do with some redecorating or new carpets. Bathroom have had a recent upgrade but in need of a good scrub esp in and around shower where mould visible

Blood stains on the doner and on the floor and on the bed sheets, black mold under and on top of the shower waterproofing. Partner spoken to in a disgusting manner. Direct to the wrong carpark amd had to pay extra 100 dollars. Room was not disinfected before we stayed.

Friendly staff, good location Disliked that the rooms werent serviced we asked for the toilet paper daily. Their was a smell in the room, stuffy and couldnt open windows. The doona was dirty like someone must have eaten and tipped food on the doona.

The staff and location were excellent, close to all the attractions. The only thing I would say that I didn't like was that the bed was way to soft.

A bit smelly
Was only a night but it was a long night.....room smelt very musky like wet carpets couldn't open a window for fresh air Air conditioner control said that the filters needed servicing.didn't feel very comfortable or clean....not recommended for any one with asthma

Good location..was super hammered coming home after a night out, had about 15 schooies. Kebab shop just up the road, so I smashed one of those on the walk back which was only 5mins. Ended up spewin it up in the sink (sorry bout that)... only critic was the sink didn't drain well so I couldn't wash the spew down properly. But overall enjoyed the stay.

Cheap and shabby. No proper reception area. Not cleaned properly. Previous tenants credit cards in drawer. Bed was very comfortable but stains on quilt. Had two bedside lights but could only turn one on as there was no powerpoint to plug the other one into. Room smaller than our caravan. Late night reception staff was sullen and unhelpful. Wont be staying again or in any other breakfree hotel.

The hot water system was poor and often lost all heat, so cold showers! There were rusted and exposed screws on the show soap tray! There was no soap tray near the bathroom sink. The instant coffee was undrinkable!The ironing board would not lock into place unless I manipulated it. Quite frankly, I would advise against staying there. It appears that it is "the hotel that senior management forgot”. I got the distinct impression that the staff (who were professional and who did their best) were abandoned here.

The property was in a great location close to where we needed to go for medical reasons walking distance to Darling Harbor as well as the tram. Was disappointed in the cramped conditions and the beds were very uncomfortable with the existing padding no longer there and stains on child's doona looked nothing like the picture that is shown to fill out survey.

It is false advertising, in this day and age, to say that you have free wireless internet, when that means that you placed a single router somewhere in the hotel, and people get 1 bit per second of wireless. The wireless was completely unusable in my room. I was told at the front desk to go sit in a lounge or the second floor to get internet, but when I did, there were stinging bugs biting me there that made that space unusable. The staff were helpful at solving problems that the hotel in part created. I was first given a room that stank to the high heavens of mold and paint fumes, but was moved quickly to another room. I was told to park in a "Wilson" car park, but not given a map how to get to it, so I parked in the wrong one, but the staff helpfully refunded the difference in price. (Parking fees are $40 per day). The location of the hotel is good, right in the middle of things, but as you can tell, it is on the borderline of seedy, though not quite truly seedy. But not having internet these days is like not having hot water. Invest in a couple of routers!

For the value of the room it is worth the price, it is quite small and well used (carpet stains, old furniture, corrosion in areas of the bathroom), no lock on the bathroom door. Would stay again due to location and staff were friendly.

The staff were fantastic! It’s very basic. Hadn’t been vacuumed behind anything for what looked to be a very long time and there was a lot of dust. Carpet was ancient and smelly.

You get what you pay for. Probably not suitable for more than an overnight stay. Off site parking not too far away but would struggle with maneuvering a large SUV. Would not recommend if you are a light sleeper. Nonetheless the room was comfortable and the location is central to Darling Harbour and Circular Quay making walking and sightseeing very easy.

Our Sydney get away.
We stayed for 4 nights. The reception staff were all friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff need some lessons in bed making. The only day our beds were made properly was the day I complained. Did straighten up bottom sheets or tuck them in just pulled the top sheet/doona over it to make it look neat. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned in the 4 days just changed the towels etc. The room was ok just the cleaning staff need a shakeup . It was in a great position for where we had to go. Close to public transport.

Good location, can reach various places in the CBD on foot. Very close to bus stops, taxis and train stations. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Sizes of the rooms are okay, clean and bright.
