Very good hotel.

Pros: The location
Location: Haymarket, Sydney - Darling Harbour in walking distance
It had everything one needed for a pleasant and relaxed stay. The 2-single bedroom was very small. If reversed = double bed instead and the 2 single beds in the larger room, it would be perfect.

Pros: Location, location, location, and the price of the room,(very reasonable), for the cost of that location. Frendilness of staff.
Cons: The rooms are cleaned daily but they do not vacuum the rooms daily unless you request it. Very nice about it when we asked.
Location: Pattys market, great restaurats, walking distance to shopping, museums, parks. Bus access to sights near the Opera house and ferrys to the beaches.
We stayed at the Breakfree on George during the Xmas holiday 2014. It was the best choice of our trip. The location is excellent, walking distance from the main features in Sydney and near bus and train stations. Most of the busses going up George St, (heart of the city)will drop you off at the sigths you can't miss while you are there such as the opera house, botanical gardens, Circular Quay, and the ferrys which will take you to beaches with more shopping. We went to Manly beach -great. There are always people out and about, a Starbucks across the street from the hotel, a movie theather about 4 blocks away. Penty of shopping and even a Coles grocery store,(in a shopping mall), where we could buy breakfast foods. We signed up for a wine tour through Hunter Valley tours and the van pick up was just a block away at the metro hotel which was convenient. Pattys Market, (check hours),is right around the corner with multple vendors and fresh fruit and veggies for sale. The neighborhood is city but clean and safe. We were on the 12th floor so we did not notice the city noise at night. Request a balcony room. The balconys are small but it was nice to have the fresh air come in our room. They will arrange for van pick up for you to return to the airport - but you won't want to leave. Loved this place!

The hotel needs to be remodeled.

The front desk staff on January 1st evening shift was rude and requested for me to pay $75 when I called to ask for bed sheets for the sofa bed that was in the room. The manager was sent up to check our room to clear his suspicion. That annoyed me as I expected the room bed to be ready when I checked in and clearly notified the front desk staff that I wanted the sofa bed ready.

Pros: コストパフォーマンス バスタブ
Cons:

Loved the location. great for transport and restau

Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Great that we could have the extension of time at check-out as my partner was ill and eased our situation as well. Room very clean and roomy for a small area. Water damage in the bathroom needs attention to door and some surfaces. Breakfast was 1/10. No juice, cereal bowls too small and bad choices of cereal. Had to ask for scrambled egg to be replenished at 7.15am when breakfast started at 7.00am. Bacon cooked to chinese likening but Australians like it a bit crisper. No tea bags only coffee

Not what I paid for!

I did not get the room I paid for - arrived, changed quickly & left for function - returned at midnight to find a double bed only - Reservation booking confirmed a queen and sofa bed request. Will not return.

Hotel close to Chinatown and Darling Harbour

Posted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: location, bed was comfortable
Cons: updating the decor and staff attending to requests properly
Room was below standard. No table or chairs to dine at given it was a 1 bedroom apartment. No pots or pans or microwaveable dishes provided and when requested we were given a saucepan and frypan. No plastics for microwave were given but two ceramic bowls and no pot holders to hold them with. The outside of the kitchen cupboard was dirty and stayed that way throughout our stay and the fridge freezer could not be used even though we advised staff on duty on our first night. Freezer size if able to be used is insufficient for purchasing frozen dinners as an alternative meal. The room looked very tired and needs updating. We have previously stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment approx 4 years ago and were happy with the property but this last trip has changed our mind and we will seek alternatives next time.
