Fab hotel close to city

Posted Mar 24, 2015
My husband and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel because we had a wedding to attend to in sydney and we enjoyed every minute of it...The hotel was very clean and the staff were always available to speak too if need be. The only downfall was our bond I was told different stories on when I would receive it...I still don't have it yet...this is the first time I've experienced something like this as normally other hotels I've stayed at we receive the bond at the time of checkout. ..apart from that we loved it...I would recommend it to my family and friends.

Hi Kashish, Thank you for your feedback. We strive to provide a high standard of customer service to all guests and it’s disappointing to know you did not experience this. Please know the Front Office Manager has investigated the situation and has offered all staff involved training as this certainly is not the level of service we pride ourselves on. We hope we can welcome you back soon to show you a true Cambridge experience. Kind Regards,

Another Bad Customer Service Experience

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Good Location and the Facilities are OK.
Cons: This is not the first time the Customer Service has been poor this is an area of their business that needs a lot of improvement.
My wife and I booked for two nights at the Cambridge Hotel one of the nights was paid for by my wife's employer and one night paid for by us personally. When checking out after the first night we advised the staff member that we were booked in for another night and would it be possible to stay in the same room the staff member told us that No this was not possible. And that our luggage would be moved to another room before check in of our 2nd night. We were given the Room No. 302 for our 2nd night which was organised by a Duty Manager. When I went back to check in after 2pm the Duty Manager was not in shift and we were given room. 709, I said to the staff member at Reception that we told in the morning by a Duty Manager we would be in room 302 he said and these were his words well your not it is 709. I said will our luggage be in that room he said should be if not just ring and we will try and find it. I think some of the staff members at this Hotel could learn that they work in the Hospitality industry and as such there role is all about Customer Service a industry I have been in all my Career.

Hi, We take all feedback received quite seriously and it is unfortunate your stay was less than ideal. We pride ourselves on the level of service and hospitality of all our staff, and I apologise you didn’t experience this. The confusion caused regarding the room move has been investigated by the Front Office Manager and all members of staff have been spoken too as this certainly isn’t the level of service we strive to provide. Further to your feedback, we are offering additional training in customer service to all our team members. As I mentioned before the level of service you experienced is certainly not what we strive to provide and we hope we can welcome you back to show you a true Cambridge experience. Kind Regards,

The location is not in CBD.

Posted Feb 7, 2015
Cons: Booking communication
Location: Has some good restaurants close by
We were allocated a small room with three single beds and one drawn out bed for the booking we had made for four adults. When we complained we were informed that Expedia did not specify the type of room. After staying in such condition for four nights they changed the room for the remaining two nights. This was not a nice experience.

Hi Tony, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It is unfortunate that the hotel was running at a very high occupancy during your stay, therefore it meant we were unable to move you to a different room for the first three night and we apologise for this. However we informed you of an available room as soon as one became available and assisted you with the move as efficiently as we could. We understand this is not an ideal situation for you but please know we did all we could to ensure a comfortable stay for you. We hope that you will return to so we can show you a true Cambridge experience. Kind Regards,

Pros: Air conditioner, good room, comfy bed etc.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. They were happy to store my luggage for the remainder of the day (until my shuttle bus arrived), after i had checked out. This was really helpful!

Thank you for your feedback. It is disappointing to know you found us to be not great value for money. Our rates are based on supply and demand and are comparable to similar properties within Sydney. It is unfortunate that you found the hotel to smell and that your room was looking over other accommodation and we apologise for this. We do hope we can welcome you back soon to give you a true Cambridge experience. Kind Regards,

Nice hotel room, close to the city.

Posted Jan 22, 2015
The rooms are nice, the elevators take a while to get you from a to b. This hotel has the worst underground parking, if you're lucky enough to manuver your way around good luck trying to find a park, it also costs around $28 on top of your room fee.

Hello Gaby, thank you for choosing to stay at the Cambridge Hotel Sydney and for also taking the time to leave feedback, your feedback is vital in ensuring the continual improvement and development of our accommodation and services to ensure our guests a stay that we hope will bring back some fond memories of their time in Sydney, our car-parking facilities can be a little challenging for larger vehicles and we make this clear across booking agents in our terms and conditions the cost is in line with onsite parking of Sydney hotels, however we do apologise for any inconvenience caused, for future stays our Front Desk can make alternative arrangements on arrival, the elevators can be a little slow especially during peak times like checkout and thank you for your patience, our management and staff look forward to seeing you again when you are next visiting Sydney. Warm regards

Convenient,clean Great views

Posted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: The location and the room was spacious and well furnished.
Cons: The bathroom was a little cramped, there was no place to put hair rollers or the traditional bathroom bag, a little inconvenient.
Location: The location is great, close to Paddington, the SCG and the Cross all add value to the stay.
Located in Surry Hills is very convenient and a bustling location. Several local markets and within walking distance to Central Station.
