We live in Sydney as were attending a function at Long Reef next day so made a bit of a holiday break out of it and booked a beach view suite. We would return in a flash! Its only two storeys, so would suggest you try to get the top floor suite if its available as think it would benefit from an even better view of the ocean across the road. The room was at the back of the hotel, so no road noise, other than passing traffic on the little road between the hotel and the beachfront. There is a large covered balcony from which to take in the view - double glazed sliding doors in case of hotel noise below, but their music restrictions are such that it was silent below very early even though it was a Saturday night and a Grand Final at that! Two Queens and a large divan, huge glam bathroom (ask if they've fixed the toilet set yet!) plus study at entry for computer and free WiFi.. The hotel below has great bistro food and modern ambiance. Long Reef Gold Club nearby great for lunch looking over water - as is Manly. Even though we know Sydney well, we hadn't realised that by taking the longer coastal route down to Manly we would see so many great little beaches on the way.
