Pros: The staff
Cons: The rooms could use a spruce up.
Location: It's right on Darling Harbour and the Pyrmont Bridge. Everything is at your doorstep.
Room was a little average, but mostly clean and neat. Staff were amazing and helpful.

Location good

Posted Aug 22, 2014
The staff were really helpful and friendly. The Tea and coffee in the room could have been better. The location was in walking distance of all the main sites. Taxi have to go all the way around to drop you off at the hotel which can add an extra 5-8aud in traffic. Overall it's a ok, clean hotel and would suit anyone for a couple of days.

Good, but not great.

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: The location was conveniently close to everything around Darling Harbour, with mostly everything being in walking distance.
Cons: Temperature control function in the room did not work efficiently, nor did the fridge. Breakfast buffet was overpriced considering what was available.
Location: Within walking distance to Harbourside shopping centre & Restaurants, Sydney Aquarium, Wildlife & Reptile park, I-max theatre & Centrepoint Tower.
The hotel was well located and close to popular attractions in Darling Harbour, which was great. The Dundee Arms Pub, which I believe is part of the hotel was fantastic & well priced. However, the hotel's breakfast buffet was overpriced considering the range & quality of food that was on offer, we found that quite disappointing having never paid that much, or even close anywhere else for breakfast. The room was clean, but unfortunately the temperature control function in our room didn't work efficiently, nor did the fridge. We found that our food/drink in the fridge was being kept only warm, sometimes cool, but never actually 'fridge cold'. Our room was quite cold being that we could not adjust the air-conditioning to a warm enough temperature. Overall, the stay was okay, but unfortunately, it is not somewhere we would stay again, nor recommend to others. Security deposit for the room held at check-in also took a ridiculous amount of time to be returned to my account, with no communication from the hotel to explain why, since as far as I am aware, there was no damage & nothing missing from the mini-bar. Our overall stay was good, but not great.

Not a good experience

Posted Aug 17, 2014
The room was completely different to the photo advertised online when I paid for the room. There was no shower and no computer desk. It was also very cold. I have stayed at many hotels where they at least have a spare blanket. I was forced to pay for a room upgrade to get a room with a shower as the cancellation few is the full rate of the room. The staff were horrible when I expressed my concern. They're clearly more interested in ripping people off than ensuring you have a pleasant stay.

Luxurious hotel in great location

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Staff were friendly, helpful and made everything easy. Late night cocktail at the cafe/bar in foyer was a nice way to end the night. Room nicely appointed, though bathroom still had some hair from previous guest. Great location, will definitely come again.

It's a hotel

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Stumping up for the harbour view room was worth it, location was great.
Cons: Pancake breakfast could have been better, roof top bar opening hours could be extended.
Location: Darling Harbour, plenty of stuff down at the dock (which wasn't our bag) but also close to the central CBD with shops etc.
This was a nice stay in the heart of Sydney, and it was uneventful. Nothing out of the ordinary in a good or a bad way. It was clean and the staff were polite.

Great hotel near to both Sydney CBD & Darling Harb

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: Location Room comfort Staff friendliness and efficiesency
Cons: Health Centre (gym)
Located city side of Darling Harbour this hotel is close to both the Sydney City centre and also Darling Harbour Entertainment District. Wall to floor glass windows provide a spectacular view of Darling Harbour by both day and by night. If you are lucky enough to stay during a Darling Harbour fireworks display then you cannot beat the views from this hotel. Hotel facilities and room space and design are first class and the hotel staff are helpful and efficient and it is noticeable that they have been trained to provide excellence in hospitality in the Starwood way. Repeat stays will be a definite.
