“Outstanding stay”

Four Points at Darling Harbour had outstanding customer service! I'm in the hospitality business so I'm a harder customer than most, but the entire staff, from bellman to concegaire to front desk staff went out of their way to assist you and take care of anything you needed. Definitely would stay there again and the location was fantastic as well!

Would definitely recommend staying in the Darling Harbour area -- convenient to everything and had great restaurants right there by the hotel.

“Location covers minor shortcomes”

I stayed for the 10-the time in this hotel in a 8 year time frame. The location is just great and within 3 minutes walking distance to Darling harbor with a wide variety of good restaurants. Hotel however needs to be refurbished shortly since rooms are looking "old fashioned". Breakfast restaurant has slightly changed its serving, and coffee is "horrible" , looks that saving on coffee has been forced. Overall, I am not sure to stay there again, since quality dropped over the last years.

“Good Value”

Beautiful hotel with excellent customer service! My only complaint is that you could hear every thing that was going on outside your door ie. cleaning staff servicing rooms and random conversations.

Area recommendations

Very convenient to Circular Quay (which I walked to every day). In the heart of Darling Harbour. Other neighborhoods are close by as well.

“Great Experience”

A bit pricey, but enjoyed the comfort and the view! Great location.

Area recommendations

Visit Darling Harbor, the Central Business District, Circular Quay, the Royal Botanical Gardens, and the Rocks. Combine this with a ferry ride to the zoo and you see a sampling of the best that Sydney has in a short period of time.

“Perfect location”

This hotel is at the center of everything in Sydney. Your hotel experience relies on the room you get. Some of the extras have steep prices,but it's hotel. The concierge desk is extmelyhelpful.

“Once is enough.”

After 24 hours total air time, we were ready to get to our hotel and crash in a comfortable bed (expecting the room to have a little ambience). The woman at the front desk was abrupt and grumpy. The hotel lobby itself was fine, the men at the concierge desk were friendly and the bellman was friendly and helpful. Our room was very worn and bleak (we couldn't stand to walk on the carpet without socks on). I think housekeeping tried, but with everything so old and worn... All in all, this was not what we expected and definitely not 4 star (a 1 or 2 at best). The best part was the location!

“Not impressed”

I had to put a complaint for construction noise in the room, they didn't care about it, they just told me that there wasn't any construction. I called back, then they realized there was noise, they considered to change the room, but they never did. The hotel has a breakfast buffet which has a good price and it is good.

“The place to go in Darling Harbour”

I have been to Sydney the second time, and for me there was no other choice but staying at the Four Points. Once again I had a "Harbor View" room, and once again I was lucky to watch the fireworks on Saturday evening. And only few hotels have beds as comfortable as they have them at the Four Points!

Area recommendations

Darling Harbour is packed with nice restaurants; be sure to visit "The Meat & Wine Company" which re-opens at the end of 2010.

Outdoors or beach

A "must-see" is the walk from Bondi Beach to Bronte Beach! There is a good bus connection from the city center.
