Good stay - nice, but expensive hotel

Posted Apr 24, 2015
Pros: New, location
Cons: Meal prices!
Location: Very central, easy walking distance to the Rocks, central harbor, Opera house, etc.
Meals in restaurant VERY expensive!! Eat across the street in the QVB - lots and lots of restaurants.

Pros: Comfortable, competent and friendly. Targeted mainly at business market but well placed for shops and tourist attractions as well.
Cons: The WiFi was temperamental and very expensive if one wanted it available in one's room.
Location: Harbour bridge and Opera 20 minute walk. Darling harbour short walk.
Easy check in but no early availability of room after over night flight. Excellent location. Guests predominately business travellers and conference delegates. Good breakfast and basement bar. Restaurant not to my taste for dinner. Very comfortable room.

A good choice

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: Location. Excellent leisure facilities in basement to which access was granted before room was available and also after check out.
Cons: Room layout was a little odd and the lighting could have been better overall.
Location: Central and close to main transport links and major attractions are a short walk away.
Two nights on my first ever trip to Sydney. Overall good experience.

a hotel in the heart of Sydney

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: spacious, clean and bright...
Cons: remove the glass desk from the room, it will make the bed room more spacious
Location: good
I have a very good experience in staying at Hilton. However the information about facilities around the Hotel were not easily available to get.

Noise

Posted Apr 11, 2015
The hotel gives off a pretense you could choke on, but the rooms are subpar. My room was adjoined to another and I heard every sound my neighbors made for 3 days. Including a screaming infant for 2 of them.

Even the Club Lounge has improved

Posted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: Looking after its loyal member. Great location. Best breakfast of all hotels in Sydney.
Cons: Can a 5 star hotel become 6 star? If so, everything can be improved if the management wanted to.
Location: Shopping, shopping, shopping. After your rest, more shopping. Close to Darling Harbour, cinemas, Chinatown, even to Sydney Harbour if fit enough.
After years of staying at this property, even at its high standards things can get a bit boring. Maybe it was due to Easter Holiday long weekend, the lounge food selection was greatly improved. I don't think I will be looking to stay else where in Sydney for what ever reason.

Pros: The location, cry central to everything.
Have stayed at the Hilton many times over the years but not since the refurbishment. It is in a great location and suited our purpose of stay this time. We were a little disappointed with breakfast, the food was just warm and the service wasn't as good as other places we have stayed.

Very small rooms

Posted Mar 23, 2015
The lobby was grand, the room was tiny. The bathroom was something you expect from an IBIS hotel rather than a Hilton. Wifi very expensive. Dining and drinking options are pretty fancy.

Moved rooms at 1am

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Tv didn't work at 1pm engineer arrived quickly and resolved the problem. Security on the lift was rude and sent us to a closed bar in the hotel. After dining returned to room at midnight tv not working moved rooms to a lower floor with terrible views at 1 am was given complimentary breakfast and refunded parking so the experience wasn't too bad just the inconvenience of packing up and moving at 1 am and being awake all night after this plus the rude security put a dampner on things I hope my stay at nottingham Hilton in April will be better than this
