Hotel close to China Town & Paddy MarketPosted Apr 12, 2014
Great location! Walking distance to many of Sydney's landmark. We travelled with our 1 year old daughter and they upgraded us to a larger room. The room was overall clean, although the bathroom door didn't close and that was a nightmare for is as our daughter kept crawling into that room. The toilet also made loud noises when flushed. Apart from that we loved our stay at holiday inn and wool definitely stay there again

Good Location, close to Capitol Theatre.Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Location - close to Capitol theatre, Entertainment Centre and Darling Harbour.
Cons: Houskeeping - Had been out until mid afternoon on the second day and came back to find room not made up despite sign on door to do so - had to ring
Location: Capitol theatre Entertainment centre Darling harbour
Stayed two nights at Holiday Inn Darling Harbour as seeing the Lion King. Reception staff were friendly. Arrived early so room was not ready, was able to store luggage for free by concierge. Lots of hustle and bustle in the lobby as there were several tour groups booking out/in. On arrival to room it was clean and tidy, bathroom ok, good shower, no view ( overall room is good but nothing special - overpriced for what it is but I guess it's the location that puts the price up). At times smell of cigarette smoke would come through vents as people outside in the alleyway were smoking. Breakfast was good, and checkout was speedy. Overall a good hotel for people staying one or two nights seeing shows at the capitol theatre and the entertainment centre which are close by.

Good location but too expensivePosted Mar 11, 2014
Small room and bathroom for 2 adults and 2 children at $434 - so overpriced. 2 single beds requested for boys did not happen although I did receive an email at 10.30am on the day saying to ask for the single beds again. I looked at my emails that night!! Were told we would be called for early check in and received that call after 2pm that afternoon. Staff were pleasant and breakfast good

Pros: Close to the free bus to the Opera House area. Hotel was very affordable.
Cons: It would be helpful if they provided a shuttle to and from the airport. Main restaurant was expensive.
Location: Near an indoor shopping marketplace, near Chinatown, near free bus service to the opera house and waterfront area.
Room was very nice and affordable. Buffet dinner was good, but expensive. Breakfast was expensive so chose to go to one of many restaurants on the waterfront by the Sydney Opera House and had excellent breakfasts for less money. Had good late night snack at the smaller bar restaurant. Loved being near the free bus service to go to the Sydney Opera House area, boat cruises, shopping, and many good waterfront restaurants.

Very good locationPosted Jan 25, 2014
Pros: Location, quiet room, service and staff.
Cons: I couldn't work out how the mini bar system worked and I wasn't sure whether the bottled water in the room was free or not.
Location: Chinatown right behind, Darling Harbour 2 blocks away, Paddys Market across the road almost . Fantastic location!
Well located hotel, few minutes to darling harbour, Chinatown , Paddys market. A good feature is the discounted parking ($30 /day instead of $35) available almost across the road in the entertainment centre parking. I didn't have breakfast there as there are a number of cheaper options within walking distance. The room was comfortable, large bed and bathroom, quiet and clean. The foyer was very busy at times with tour groups hanging around waiting to check out or to be picked up.Concierge service was very helpful and all staff friendly and polite, saying good morning/ afternoon each time you saw them.I would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

Easy walk to Darling HarbourPosted Jan 25, 2014
The reception staff were very helpful and provided an upgraded room to accommodate the family.... We were on the 8th floor at the back of the hotel, it was very quite with no traffic noise. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, a large hair dryer was supplied which was handy. This hotel is a short flat walk to Darling Harbour. Parking the car was a little tricky - we missed the turn into Dixon Street, then drove around for an hour trying to work out how to get back to the hotel. The car passes validated by the hotel failed to work when we were exiting the car park, causing a little stress at the end of our trip, but overall worth the money.....
