Great location! Immaculate accommodationPosted May 18, 2015
Pros: Good location. Classic architecture
Cons: Check in staff were AWFUL. Not friendly, asked for photo id like we were criminals, no niceties at all.
Location: walking distance to all tourist attractions and shopping. If you didn't want to walk it was 3 mins from ferrys, train and buses.
very nice place to stay. easy access via train form airport. Was a 3 min walk to ferry, train and bus, which would get you anywhere in Sydney! 5-7 min walk to Rocks which had great street food. 5 mins to opera house and lots of eating options. BEST most helpful concierge EVER!!!

Great location and very nice hotelPosted May 4, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, food facilities and the initial deal we received through Expedia.
Cons: It is a bit expensive if not booked in advance - we extended our stay by 2 days but had to pay a much higher rate (it is very upscale so worth it)
Location: Excellent location - 2 minutes from the Opera House, Circular Quey and Harbour Bridge. Could not have asked for anything more - delightful experience
Overall we had a great experience at this hotel - the location was excellent (a 2 minutes walk from the Opera House and Harbour bridge). The staff was extremely professional and a slight unpleasant experince was artfully handled by the executive chef which really pleased us. Excellent hotel from all standpoints.

Friendly staff perfect location.Posted May 1, 2015
My husband and I visited Sydney to spend time with our son studying abroad at UNSW. The Intercontinental was the perfect spot for us. The hotel is right on the quay and we had a spectacular view of the botanic gardens from our room. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We hope to be back down under one day and back at the ICH.

Great location - disappointing service/roomsPosted Apr 27, 2015
Cons: Bathrooms Friendliness of staff
We booked 11 rooms - high floor - supposedly renovated: - most of us did not get high floor rooms - bathrooms are outdated and not at all 5* - service across the hotel 'has no heartblood in their job' - is not friendly at all. The exeception was the restaurant. Very good service and quality

Classy PlacePosted Apr 23, 2015
Pros: Architecture and the feel of the public places. Staff was also very good.
Cons: It would be nice to have the top floor drink area be accessible to everyone.
Location: Location couldn't be better - near key sights and ferry/train.
Great location and the mix of the old and the new architecture really gives it a classy feel and makes it special - much better than' brass and glass places'.

Pros: Visually beautiful, staff warm and friendly.
We had a lovely weekend stay. All staff were extremely professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble, all questions answered happily and requests acted upon promptly. We didn't have to think about a thing. Location is brilliant, easy walking to everything the harbour has to offer.

Sydney stayPosted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: Breakfast is great. Has everything you need.
Location: Perfect location
Location of hotel is perfect. It is just few min walk to opera house, circular quay, rocks and everything. Get a taxi and you are in downtown 5 min. Even walking to downtown is just 10-15 min. We have great convenience in staying here. Certainly will come back.
