Great Hotel and StaffPosted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: Great Location, Great Staff
Cons: I feel after staying at the Melbourne Intercontinental recently the hotel could be a little more up to date but this did not change a great experience
Location: What is there to say except perfect for both Business and Tourist alike especially as next to the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
Only a one night stop but a lovely hotel in a great location right by Circular Quay. Staff are fantastic and beyond expectations. Did not eat at the hotel so can't comment on food. Just a little dated compared to other Intercontinental hotels I've stayed in recently but don't let that put you off at all...

Beautiful accommodation close to circular quayPosted Mar 11, 2015
I initially only expected to stay a night at this hotel, before checking into a Rendezvous harbour view balcony apartment. This plan was cut short when I found my view at Rendezvous was completely obscured by a clock tower covering the Bridge on one side and huge cruise ship in front of the Opera House. To their credit they let me out if the booking politely and without argument. I was just disappointed from the perspective of presenting me with such a poor example of a harbour view room when I'd booked it a year and a half ago. I returned to the intercontinental and was lucky to get straight into a beautiful harbour view room which was everything I'd dreamt of. LOVE this hotel. Breakfasts were delicious with a variety of things to try and complimentary coffee. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Would stay there again and again. Worth every cent! Felt like home.

2 night visitPosted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: The airy cleanliness and efficient staff
Cons: there was a bit of confusion over my bill and internet charges but this was quickly sorted in my favour with no fuss.
Location: well I just wandered around the shops and the Opera House
I was going to Sydney for two nights and stayed at the Intercontinental . I was impressed by the reception staff and their genuine interest in my visit offering me things to see while in Sydney. They were efficient and friendly. I was most impressed with my room being very clean and functional ,- as was the whole hotel. The buffet breakfast was very substantial and of a high quality with attentive wait staff. Overall I found the hotel to be top notch though my only drawback would be the price I found a bit expensive but the Intercontinental certainly provided service and first rate facilities

Great location and good size rooms.Posted Feb 26, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness and attentive staff.
Cons: The bed could have been a little more comfortable. It was fine sleeping alone, but when my partner arrived, any small movement would wake the other
Location: Close to Circular Quay, backs onto the Botantical Gardens, near the Opera House.
Friendly attentive staff, good location - within 500 or so metres from Circular Quay, making it easy to get around to almost anywhere you would want to visit within Sydney. Clean rooms, and good room service. Close to lots of places to eat if you would prefer to venture out than stay in.

Wonderful Hotel Close to The Opera House/WharfPosted Feb 20, 2015
Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The staff were very friendly and went above to make our stay enjoyable (upgrade to harbor side room and free in room wifi). Everything was perfect at the InterContinental and I would definite stay there again.

Excellent close to Circular QuayPosted Feb 6, 2015
Pros: Everything. I was offered a late checkout which I appreciated and they obligingly held my bags. In addition I could go to my room early - excellent
Cons: Separate shower - can be dangerous getting into a shower which is within a bath.
Location: Circular Quay, shops, Opera House
Mini food available in bar area was excellent and good value.

InterContinental Sydney Opera House ViewPosted Feb 4, 2015
Pros: The view and conveniently located.
The Opera House View was amazing from our room! Waking up to this view every morning was spectacular. It was everything I had hoped for and more. We had arrived at the hotel early in the morning from an oversees flight. The staff was great and allowed us access to the pool room, which had showers for us to freshen up for the day. It was a perfect place to stay with a great location close to everything.

Very much enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental. The location is terrific, the hotel is beautiful, and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend.
