“Great Location”
Great place and with the best location... the view of our room was great, just as advertised on the pictures in the site. they let us do the check in before 2 and the staff was very nice at all times..
“Not impressed”
Cost way too much for what you get. Shower was tiny. Location was not the greatest. Would not stay there again. We stayed in two other hotels in Sydney and this was the most expensive but we liked the other two much better.
“Nice Option in Sydney”
These apartments are located in a great spot (near groceries, internet cafes, dry cleaners, etc.) for daily living. Easy walking distance to transportation. The staff was great! They made it a wonderful experience. We had to stay a couple extra days due to medical emergencies. They made everything easy for us. Highly recommend their service!
“Cheap room for Sydney and lived down to its price.”
Parking lot is dangerously small with limited parking spots too small to get out of he car. Suposedly a serviced apartment but only had a dorm fridge and a plug in hot plate. TV had a whopping 5 channels. Just a few blocks from the sleazey massage parlor section of Sydney. Paper thin walls allows for an intimate knowledge of your neighbors activities. Like evrythig else about the rooms the bathroom is small and cramped as well. Scenic veiws of the Sydney Harbor a 1/2 mile away but if you open the curtains the tenants in the apartments across the street can stare right in. No safe in the room. Outrageously priced internet available. Room does come with a free newspaper every morning. No closet only a wardrobe taking up some of the limited pace in the small room. Thin cheap matress normally found in motels near highway rest stops. All in all pretty low grade but I did'nt trvel to stay in the room, but it would have been nice to have had a nice place to come back to.
“Happy Hotel”
Eighth floor room with view of the Sydney harbor that was priceless. Dogs in the lobby. Umbrellas ready for us when it rained. Cheerful staff. We loved our 8-day stay at the Macleay.
“Great place for relaxing stay!”
Apartment/Hotel is in a fine, pricey Potts Point Neighborhood. Full grocery across street and service shops found in any city residential neighborhood incl cafes and resturants. Kings Cross in about 4-6 blocks, as is KC train station and frequent city bus near the front door. We requested and rcvd a room with with...Priceless-City through North Sydney! Hotel is updating facilities and staff are all friendly. Broadband is $15/day or by hour in lobby. You don't live in your room visiting Sydney and this is safe, pleasant and comfortable.
“Perfect for a week in Sydney”
W had a great stay at the Macleay Serviced Apartments. We got a great deal and it was so nice having a kitchen to use. We bought food at the grocery across the street and did breakfast in our room every morning to save money and to be lazy. There's silverware, dishes, a toaster, microwave, hot plate- basically everything you need. The room was comfy and cute with a great view- sunset was awesome. It was also a good location and we could walk to almost everything. The train station is also just down the road. The front desk people were very helpful during the day for planning our outings. There was one lady who worked nights who always acted like we were interrupting her, but we just avoided her. Also, they let us check in early and were very accomodating. I would totally stay here again.
“Excellent Hotel”
This hotel was excellent !! The rooms were large for a non-US hotel and the fridge and microwave were a huge plus for the family. The location is within steps of several restaurants and cafes. The train station is within an easy walk and Woolworths is directly across the street for water and snacks. There are coffee shops on every block. This part of town is great for nights and evenings. We would stay again any chance we had.
“A gem hotel in Sydney”
I just returned from a 1 week stay at the Macleay Serviced Apartments Hotel in Sydney. This is a great hotel with some of the nicest staff I have ever experienced at a hotel. The view from the Harbour View Rooms are awesome, and I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone!
“great location, very helpful front desk”
The front desk was very friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in. The Potts Point location is very cute and quiet, convenient to Kings Cross, a bus to the CBD, and plenty to walk to. The inner hallways are a little shabby and the room was not huge, but clean and quiet and comfortable. I did not cook, but it was nice to have a fridge to keep snacks in.
