“Great Airport hotel”

Great hotel near the airport. Ideal for transfers. Clean, excellent service. One nice perk was that it was across the street from a park. Our toddler enjoyed the play structure there. Room service was not great, but the breakfast buffett was better.

“Where to stop”

This is an excellent hotel for an overnight when arriving or departing Sydney. The front desk is welcoming, professional and helpful. Rooms are quiet and have wide views. There is a riverside park across the road. The dining room has very good food and a strong selection of Australian wines. There is a regular shuttle service to/from both international and domestic airports, for which charges are billed directly to room invoice so there is no need for cash.

“Two night stay in Sydney”

We chose this hotel because of its relative closeness to the train station and the airport's international terminal. We had planned to buy a Day Tripper pass to use each day while exploring Sydney for 2 days after a cruise. The first day, while walking over to the train station we noticed a GetaCar Rental place at Princes Highway/Gertude and rented a car instead. Good deal. The hotel had everything we needed. Since we weren't in our rooms that much and did not use the hotel facilities because we were out sightseeing we can't comment too much on those. The location is fine. Walk to train station. Safe area. There is safe parking on the street. The hotel charges for parking. Quiet. We had a nice view of park and city from 8th floor.

“A very nice hotel located near the airport.”

The Mercure Hotel Sydney Airport is a very nice hotel located near the airport. The only disappointment was that I was expecting the hotel shuttle to be free and not added on to the hotel bill.

“Excellent overnight airport hotel”

I arrived at 10pm, having flown down from Darwin, and departed at 8am the next morning so my stay was very brief indeed. I was sorry not to arrive earlier so that I could enjoy a leisurely meal in the restaurant and drink in the bar as the atmosphere was good. The bedroom was a good size and contained everything I required. The only draw back was the 30 minute wait at the airport for the shuttle bus, which runs at 40-minute intervals. With hindsight I should have taken a taxi.
