“A bit noisy!”

The hotel staff is very nice, and offered up a map to the nearest petrol station (to save on rental car fillup) and how to get various places. I was impressed with the way this information was offered up to me without asking. The hotel is okay, its very business oriented and not near any public transport options. My room was near an elevator and was very loud, I could hear entire conversations while laying in bed. Ask for a room far from an elevator, and you'll be okay.

“Location a plus”

For an overnight prior to a early morning flight - it's great. Don't e expect too much from the food and beverage offering as the staff really struggle with volume. Service was slow but the hotel side was brilliant.

“Aussie Experience”

Perfect hotel if you need to be close to the airport. They run a shuttle back and forth to the airport and the train is within walking distance to take you to sydney.

Area recommendations

Darling Harbour is great area. Walkable distance to all of Sydney's popular sites.

“Down day”

If you have a down day between flights this is a great hotel. Walk to the train station for downtown sightseeing. Shuttle service was excellent to and from the airport.

“Perhaps 10 years ago.”

This hotel is a bit like the sad old lady at the end of the bar with too much make-up on. WiFi is a complete rip off and reason alone for this business traveller to never go back (not to mention parking charges). Gym was old, smelly and tragic.

“Not Impressed”

The Mercure Sydney Aiport is old Hotel, they don't provide toothbrush amenities (you have to buy from front desk). I feel like I was staying in 2 or 3 star hotel. Not worth the room price.

“airport hotel”

This hotel is very close to the airport. Bed was comfortable with good pillows. Room was quiet. I would come back.

“Great Place to Stay- But Eating is a Ripoff”

I chose to stay at this hotel because it had a shuttle to and from the airport and it was within walking distance of a train station. In that respect this is a fantastic hotel. However, if you are thinking about staying there- consider going elsewhere to eat. The food was richly priced for a mediocre Buffet. There weren't any food options cheaper than the buffet, so that was frustrating. That is however, the only complaint. The staff was friendly, the shuttle was on time and my room was very clean.

Go elsewhere to eat. Too pricey for what you get.
