Good price, good for a one off staff

When we arrived we found our promised requested disability access room. Was not organised..this is after going to the room finding couldn't even get through bathroom door. Rang down to reception he explained no disabled room available. Thankfully our reception dest clerk rang around the disabled rooms to see if anyone's ident essentially need wheelchair access,he found someone who was happy to swap rooms to ensure our stay went well. We were most thankful and commend him as an excellent customer service worker,who demonstrated his care of visitors to the hotel.

Nice hotel. close to restaurants and train station

Pros: Breakfast and shower
Good size rooms. comfortable bed. good water pressure for shower. excellent varity of food for breakfast. Good quality hotel. Location was good. Close to freeway and restaurants. I would definately stay there again, and probably will when i return. Good price for the quality.

So Disappointing

Firstly I used Spa & Pool as my search criteria so was devastated to learn on check-in that the pool and spa were not working. We were given 1 complimentary drink voucher, as a tiny attempt to make up for no spa, and no mention of spa renovations on website, even though there were 2 of us. The bed cover was dirty as was our bathtub. The TV had a fuzzy line through the middle. The room was noisy as it faces a busy street. Breakfast would have been fine if our plates hadn't been cleared away from us while they we still full, we literally hadn't even started eating. when i told the waitress we hadn't even begun she just said sorry and they were used to people leaving full plates of food because it was a buffet. med parking was free but we were charged $10. very unhappy with the entire experience.

stayed one night.....paper thin walls so we could hear the neighbors and people walking onto our level as we were opposite the lifts so it made it difficult to get to sleep.

Convenient and comfortable

Pros: The staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially as I had a young child with me. The restaurant was very helpful with him.
Location: MacDonalds and a supermarket were right across the road - important to us!
We came to Sydney for an appointment and the Mercure Parramatta was in a convenient location, with a good room rate.

We were attending an event at Olympic Park so it's a bit of a hike to there. But ideal if going to the Rosehill Races. A little hard to turn into if coming from James Ruse Dr - due to the median - but I might have missed some thing there. Room comfortable , plenty of variety in the breakfast.
