Good Hotel, Nice Location

Posted Jul 25, 2014
We stayed for one night with our 2 kids and had a pleasant stay. The Concierge was helpful, reception checked us in quick, bags delivered to our room in time. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and beds comfortable. centrally located just on the outskirts of cbd but free shuttle service 555 at the back of hotel. Recommend for a short stay.

Great location, close to everything

Pros: Central location - great for public transport.
All great, except the bed was pretty hard and the shower water pressure weak.

Neat, clean and in close proximity of public trans

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: The rooms were neat and tidy, as shown on the website.
Cons: Free Wi-fi
Location: We travelled to Coogee and Bondi Beeches, Circular Quay, Darling Harbour and back to the Domestic Airport by train, bus and taxi.
For a family of four with two young teens, we found the room a bit small, but that thought was quickly compensated by the cleanliness and neatness of the room. We loved the fact that the hotel was in close proximity of various forms of public transport. Once we got our heads around the trains and busses we used all forms of public transport to venture around the city. Apart from the ‘Sunday Saver”, we found it somewhat annoying not being able to purchase a single transport ticket, that would cover us for all forms of travel for a full day.

Great location

Posted Jul 9, 2014
The location of the hotel was great, it's right next to the central station with lots of bus stops and walking distance to china town. Lots of restaurants around the place and super markets. The pool on the roof top was great, it's an indoor heated pool and the kids loved it. But the hot water in the shower did not have hot water when we tried to take a shower after swimming.

Great place to stay in the city

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Every staff member we dealt with was cordial and knowledgeable. Concierge staff the best we have ever used. Everything they recommended was a hit!
Cons: While our room was small compared to most US hotels, it was comfortable, clean and had a small fridge and hot water heater for morning tea or coffee.
Location: Train/bus to Bondi Beach (do the walk to Coogee), Manly Beach (ferry), and Watson's Bay (ferry). Blue Mountain trip with OZ Trails.
We spent 10 days at the Mecure in Sydney and highly recommend it if you need to stay in the city. It is right across from the Central Rail station or within a block you can pick up a bus to any destination in Sydney. There are numerous excellent and affordable cafes of every nationality within a ten minute walk. The Paddy Market only a few blocks away can provide you with everything you could possibly want. A must have is the DK Eyewitness Travel Sydney guidebook. It has everything you will need including great maps. They do not provide a shuttle pick up from the airport, but you can arrange a shuttle back at the end of your stay at the Concierge desk.
