Great place for visiting SydneyPosted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: Great loction
Cons: Starting to get a little tired
This hotel is in a great location with fantastic views to the city. It's across the street from a decent shopping plaza and right on the train line which gives easy access into the city (2 stops and your there). It's also very easy to get to and from the airport via the train. The hotel lobby and bar area has a nice ambience, and the staff seemed decent enough. Rooms were clean with and comfortable. Would definitely recommend to a friend, or stay again.

Excellent location and viewsPosted Mar 23, 2015
Rooms are clean, comfy rooms and hotel bar and food is nice! Small bar but nice!! Down side- Renting a Film is $15.... One you can get for $4 in your local dvd box and there's a window in the bathroom that looks out onto the room! Let's just say.....it's new to be fitted tighter and a block out!!

Great location, close to public transport for cityPosted Mar 18, 2015
The Staff are exceptionally kind & helpful. Nothing is a bother. Food & room amenities great but breakfast ends at 10am & is buffet style so get in quick! The Train that runs under the building was not a problem for us, we heard it occasionally but again, this was not a problem for us. Upon arrival (early morn) we were offered to check into our room early & upon check out we were offered for staff to store our luggage as they were aware our departing flight was not until 6pm.

Great view but noisyPosted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: Location and views of harbour
Cons: Not sure what can be done about train noise. Maybe tell customers before hand?
Location: Great restaurants in nearby Blue Point road. Easy access to harbour bridge.
We wanted a hotel in North Sydney and this hotel was perfect for that location. The view of the harbour bridge from the room was fantastic. Only issue is that we were on level 2 and the trains run under the hotel so every time a train went through the room shook and it was noisy. Probably better if you could get a higher room.

Harbour View Hotel - Best of the WorstPosted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: Not much, staff were friendly enough although did have a "I don't really care" attitude, that is they never completed what they said they were going t
Cons: Everything. Hotel is old needs a refurbish. Pillows need to be replaced. Beds need to be replaced.
Overall I was not satisfied with the hotel. Main points apart from the noise from the train below: * Booking through Expedia you actually get some of the worst rooms in the hotel, and to upgrade you need to pay extra * Beds were uncomfortable * Room smelled mouldy and basically old, pillows stunk of sweat and curtains were revolting * Staff were adequate * No complimentary Wifi ...amazing * No gym although they did offer the benefit of their partner at $12 a session ...incredible * Upon checking in the room was not fully cleaned from last occupant ie dirty towel and used soap. I asked for this to be rectified and 8hours later this still not had been actioned Overall I would not recommend this hotel, however it does seem to be the best in the area. Overpriced for the low quality.

Great Location in North SydneyPosted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: Location and convenience. Clean and well presented
Cons: Bed could be a bit firmer. Free wifi would be good
Well placed hotel in North Sydney with easy access to lots of restaurants and cafe's nearby. Situated above North Sydney station is great for access to the rest of SYdney and the airport, but also may be a problem for some people who are light sleepers. Personally I didn't find the trains a problem but others in our party who stayed there found it a bit more difficult to sleep. The bed also was a bit soft for my liking but that's a personal preference.

Incredible ViewsPosted Feb 4, 2015
Pros: Location and the view. Staff were courteous and quickly solved an issue with parking. Room was clean and a good size.
Cons: We were on a lower floor, so the trains were a bit noisy.
In a great location with incredible views of the city and the Harbour Bridge. We walked a short distance to a Cafe' for a meal, and then to Lavender Bay before returning via a beautiful park.

Weekend at Harbour View Hotel North SydneyPosted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: Was close to public transport, great location.
Cons: The sell on Harbourview is not accurate for all rooms and needs to be advised when booking.
Location: Close to the city and all forms of Public Transport.
Booked a Deluxe Harbourview room at the North Sydney Habour View Hotel, you would expext to have a view of the Bridge and Operahouse. Got put in the room at the back of the Hotel with a view to the east not south. Train track and roadway view The lady on reception was very rude no help. We got scammed and not happy.

Great view and well priced but terrible bed & a/cPosted Jan 25, 2015
Great view, staff and location however the bed was terrible the A/C is anaemic and we heard and felt the train every 6 minutes go by underneath. Should think before booking but great launching pad to get around Sydney
