BAD PLACE

Posted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: everything. its too old and poor management
Location: Darling harbour
Dirty and old and uncomfortable and dark and smelly Poor hotel. Not 4 star as stated on website. More like 2.5 star. King bed actually is 2 singles with gap in middle and very uncomfortable. Flush doesn't work in all rooms properly. had to call staff to fix it. there is a special technique to pull it. Smelt like a takeaway shop in the corridors. Shower doesn't work properly. sprays strong and weak jets Mould in shower With all honesty very poor option for the price paid. I would never stay there again. But if I would recommend an appropriate price would be 60 AUS per night. NOT 150 they charge as a 4 star

Pros: Location, clean rooms and very comfortable beds, clean linens and sheets & yummy brekkie & the swimming pool Perfect hideaway!

Confusion at front desk

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: The staff were very friendly
Cons: Communication between expedia and staff ????
Location: very central. lots of walking.
Their was a bit of confusion when we were booking in one room was for a twin and we preferred a lower floor which I requested on the phone to expedia.. The staff blamed expedia for the confusion. I felt it was a bit of both. We were told that there was valet parking at $45.00 we thought it was for the 2 nights. When it came to check out it was $45.00 per night. The receptionist did bring it down to $60.00. The rooms were very clean and the hotel staff were nice and helpful. Would stay there again

basic room with nice bed and awesome staff

Posted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: knowledgable staff and central location
Cons: put the tv central to the bed and more lighting. room in the fridge for our own purchases.
Location: pumphouse restaurant next door has awesome food and good staff. darling harbour has hard rock cafe. public transport is close and very good.
was so looking forward to my stay here. upon arrival the staff were pleasant. upon entereing the room i couldnt get over the size of the bed, it was huge and so comfortable. but it soon became apparent that we werent meant to be in our room much. there was a jug which had to be used in the bathroom with bathroom water as there are no taps or anything in the main part of the room. the television which is normally centered to the bed is offset meaning my partner had to look over me and off to a huge angle to watch it if in bed. there is only one comfy chair although two people in the room. the fridge is also so stocked with mini bar items there is no room for our own stuff bought at the dairy. we also had to have the lights on all the time as the room is dark with just a medium size window for light. upside was the awesome staff which were so friendly and knowledgable giving us tips on how to get to transport which was free or cheap compared to taxis. they knew the area very well. also the room was quiet and the hotel central to everything including dairies, darling harbour for restaurants and shops. overall a pleasant experience

Clean, very ordinary hotel in Darling Harbour.

Pros: Location in Darling Harbour. Convenient valet parking.
Cons: Breakfast; scrambled eggs were stale and dry.
Location: Location for Darling Harbour is excellent.
Everything worked except our request to have blanket rather than a duvet/doona, which was simply forgotten.
