Pros: Located very close to Chinatown and all public transport options.
Cons: Facilities in the bedrooms to make your stay more comfortable, eg more seating, lighting for reading, better selection of toiletries.
Location: Chinatown for evening meals covering all price tags, Friday night hawker market.
Disappointing in deterioration of standard of this hotel since Novotel ownership. Bedroom seating (one single seat) totally inappropriate for two mature adults to sit and read or watch TV. Hotel rooms had room for more seating but just don't provide it. Breakfast offerings not great, were better under previous owners.

We stayed here for a night and found that it was a very comfortable and convenient option. Upon check in, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and modern. The breakfast is also good. Easy to find parking as well. Overall a great stay.

Pros: Pool, room, view, food.
Cons: Sort out these lifts.
Location: China-town, CBD, Powerhouse Museum, Darling Harbour.
Nice location, nice pool and spa. Very pleased overall, the only downside is the lifts.Ive never seen a hotel where you have to literally wait for 3-4 minutes for the lift to arrive.

Convenient hotel in the CBD

Posted Mar 25, 2014
Pros: Ther service, the staff, the food.
Cons: As above
Location: CBD I was there for work and had limited time for tourist things. Went to Dixon St for dinner one night- easy walk.
Although the room had many extras, Coffee machine, Internet etc, I found the fact that there was only one lounge chair (and so much space) strange and disadvantageous to asking a friend back for coffee. The bathroom was small and awkward. The shower was inconvernient as you had to get into the bath to turn the shower on. Although not necessary for everyone, it would be sensible OH&S to have a bar over the bath to assist in getting in and out of the bath/shower. I also found it unusal not to have a convenient power point (near the bed) to recharge phones, Notepads etc. Although there were power points, items had to "dangle" from their cords as there was no conveneint table to put them on. But the bed was excellent!!!

Great Location

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: More staff when hotel full to avoid lenghty wait to check in
Location: Close to china town, paddys market, central station
The hotel itself is in a great position, clean and staff friendly, however the weekend we stayed the hotel was booked out and they did not have enough staff to cater for the amount of people trying to check in. This was not helped by their computer systems shutting down. Breakfast was very crowded and had to constantly wait for the food hot food to come out. The hotel should have had more staff on to cater for the demand.

Good hotel in a central location.

Staying at the Novotel was a great choice for exploring Sydney. Within easy walking distance on central station, the entire city was accessible with ease by rail or bus. Even with that proximity to a major transport hub, the rooms were quiet ensuring a restful sleep. Thus allowing us to face each days activities well rested. Speaking of that, the food also made sure we had plenty of energy to face each day.

Good stay

Posted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: kid stay and eat free. The milk served in glass bottle, baked tomato and mushroom served during breakfast.
Cons: More asian food should be provided in breakfast.
Location: Very convenient. 5 mins walk to Chinatown, Market City to bus stop free CBD shuttle bus 555. 15 mins walk to Darling Quarter, Darling Harbour with kid in stroller. Room: Clean but tooth brush, slipper and shower cap are not provided. Breakfast: You can make your own pancake from the machine. Coffee is free to order from the counter. Variety is limited and the food doesn't change much during our stay but the choices is enough for us. Lift is very slow.

Location: Close to Central Station, Haymarket, George St, Chinatown and Darling Harbour. Perfect location, not too busy!!
We arrived tired after a long trip and were surprised by being allowed to check in early! We only intended to drop off our bags but the staff were friendly and very helpful.
