Nice location, mostly a good experience there.Posted May 17, 2015
Pros: Location, price, safety. Very convenient to walk to Darling Harbour and from there take a water taxi anywhere.
Cons: WIFI price and quality. Water pressure in bathrooms.
Location: Although there's a mini-store in the building, if you walk less than 1 block there's a much larger grocer with pretty much everything you need.
For the money this is a good place to stay. It's pretty cheap for the room size. We had a 1 bedroom with fold out sofa. Pros - Price, location, safe, nice sized suites with full kitchens already stocked with dishes, pots & pans, plus had laundry right in the room. Cons - Wifi Internet is $85.00 AUD for 1 week and it was SUPER slow, although they do "refresh" your room daily with towels and shampoo, bathroom stuff, they do not clean the room. Their staff was average, they only did the minimum when it comes to service, but was at least professional. Bathroom water pressure was TERRIBLE from the shower, and difficult to get to a comfortable temperature. Also, ran out of hot water on 2 of the 7 days we were there with only 3 people in a 1 bedroom suite.

A comfortable hotel with great helpful staff.Posted May 16, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness, facilities and helpful staff.
The Oaks sits in a perfect position to explore Sydney, both by using Sydney's excellent public transport, or by foot. Harbourside Shopping Complex is within 10 minutes walk, 15mins to Tussaud's and the Aquarium, and the CBD within 30mins. Circular Key is walkable, and gives the chance to peruse some of the high end retail shops along the way. Speak the Concierge, he knows where and when to catch transport and, the way to most attractions. Good restaurants are close by, in Harbourside, and I can highly recommend Hurricane's for the carnivores amongst you.

Convenient Location, Spacious RoomPosted May 11, 2015
Pros: Convenient location, cheap price through Expedia, cool, good facilities, large rooms.
Cons: The water pressure in the bathroom basin was very poor. There was no booklet to explain things like how the TV worked.
Location: Close to restaurants, shops, casino, cruise boats, aquarium, wax works, a 3d theatre, playgrounds, Chinese Gardens, entertainment centre, Sydney CBD
We stayed at the Oaks Goldsbrough because of a cheap deal through Expedia. It was a convenient location in Darling Harbour and facilities in the room were excellent. The laundry was in the bathroom and there were kitchen facilities in the bedroom/studio area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is nearby at Harbourside Carpark. There is an over the road walkway to connect both. The bed was a little too firm for my liking but the room stayed dark and quiet long enough for us to sleep in to a reasonable hour. The room was quite cool and we didn't bother to turn on the air conditioning. I consider this a plus because the air conditioning in most hotels tends to make the rooms too hot for sleeping. I would stay there again if the price was right.

Spacious Rooms in an Apartment HotelPosted May 11, 2015
Pros: Proximity to attractions and transit system.
Cons: Wifi is bad. Internet is provided by a third party supplier and it is not only outrageously expensive but painfully slow. Change internet povider.
Location: Location is close to downtown, we walked to all major attractions in Sydney.
Stayed for days only at our end of trip to Australia. Pleasant hotel walking distance to Light Rail station and George Street. Spacious rooms, unique arrangement.

Nice hotel walking distance to darling harbourPosted May 9, 2015
Everything was good except for one thing. Our room was meant to have a king size bed but instead we got two single beds joined together. Ver uncomfortable when the Middle is really hard.

Convenient to Darling Harbour and public transportPosted Apr 29, 2015
Pros: Location, washing machine and daily servicing was excellent.
Cons: Internet access that was free for 30min a day, was extremely slow
Location: Darling harbour, entertainment centre and walking distance to all good shops.
Apartment was good value for money in regards to facilities, very average view from the balcony of a brick wall. At least you can let the fresh air in.

Historic building in a great locationPosted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: Its character, history and location.
Cons: As always its the small things..............improve housekeeping and provide free wifi.
Location: Darling Harbour (Cockle Bay) has many shops, bars and restaurants and provides quick access to the city of Sydney.
The 'Oaks' was our final stop after 3 weeks in Australia. Its a magnificent building, catering for tourists and business visitors. The facilities are good and its location close to Darling Harbour is ideal for sight seeing, dining and getting around. We were disappointed in the poor housekeeping, having to complain several times that the room had not been serviced when we had been out all day, coming back to find the beds unmade, etc. For some reason best known to the 'Oaks' there is only 30 mins of free wifi on offer per room, or you pay!! We had stayed in 6 other hotels/motels during our travels, all providing free wifi unlimited........come on 'Oaks' catch up!!!
