Great location.

Pros: Location, pool, sauna, spa.
Cons: Rooms need updating.
Location: Darling Harbour, Chinatown, Paddy's Markets, Pyrmont, Luna Park, CBD.
The hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance of the CBD, Pyrmont, markets and ferries, with Darling Harbour just across the road and through a walkway. The hotel rooms are a bit tired looking and could do with an update. There is a lap pool, spa, sauna and gym which we enjoyed using. I would stay there again next time we visit Sydney

Great location, helpful staff

Pros: The architecture and the location
Cons: Internet could be better/cheaper, elevators slow.
Location: Fish market ~5 min walk, Darling Harbour ~5min walk, CBD ~15-20 min walk, supermarket/convenience stores ~5 min walk
Interesting, retrofitted old building, was a bit drafty and cold, but the rooms were nice when the thermostat was turned up. Hotel staff exceptionally accommodating, helping with directions, printing and some other business. Elevators pretty slow, but card-only access for elevators and exterior doors adds extra security to building. There was some construction going on inside and outside the building, but nothing too disturbing. Easy walk to a lot of the interesting sights like Darling Harbor, the Fish Market, and restaurants. Internet ridiculously overpriced, $18 for a day of use!

In a good position, near Darling Harbour.

Pros: The staff were very friendly.
Cons: Get rid of those fence things around the rooms, they make the place look like an asylum!
Location: Great location.
When we first arrived at the hotel early they were very kind in getting us into our room early, but as soon as we got out of the lift and saw the walkway we started getting a bit wary, not nice at all, when we opened the door to our room we were very disappointed, two single beds, balcony looked out onto a very depressing wall, the timber log running through the room was dirty and dusty, my husband went to reception and asked to be moved and they very kindly did that for us, the second room was much better, but I have to say again the steel fence things in the corridors were horrible, really off putting, but the hotel is in a great spot, so close to beautiful Darling Harbour.

My second stay at the Oaks and again enjoyed my stay. Within walking distance of the CBD and so close to the shops at Darling Harbour. I love the oaks and would stay there again.

excellent in every aspect

Pros: I appreciated the cleanliness, comfort and excellent location
Cons: free internet would be AMAZING !
Location: Location perfect, area quiet, very near to all attractions. .
Due to arriving early in the morning I booked my studio apartment for the night previous to my arrival. Checking in was quick and easy and friendly. My room was perfectly clean and very attractive. The bed was particularly comfortable after my very long trip. Tea coffee milk and sugar were supplied , and replenished daily,as were washing liquids and powders and toiletries. Cooking facilities were excellent. Bathroom modern and spotlessly clean. Towels and tea towels changed daily. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was quiet with quaint old world atmosphere. Location was perfect with a short cut overpass through a shopping centre to Darling Harbour, Pyrmont Bridge and the city. Shopping centre has a few money exchange bureaux, tourist info centre, restaurants, and dozens of shops of all kinds, including souvenir.

Pros: Location, comfy apartment, the spa was very relaxing and nice surrounds as well.
Cons: Laminates on all cupboards in bathroom and kitchen very shabby, needs to be refurbished. Windows could have done with a clean
Location: We were right in the heart of Darling Harbour, close to everything
My husband and I stayed for 4 nights, really enjoyed being close to restaurants, bars, easy to get around. The views were absolutely spectacular as well.Quite noisy on the Saturday night, but otherwise quiet.

Easy to get to from the Airport, close to Darling Harbour, friendly staff and good facilities. The gym gets busy in the morning but you can always go for a swim.
