DisappointingPosted Jun 23, 2015
Overall this hotel is ok and the location is great. One month before my stay in this hotel (after booking not just one room but three throughout) I asked if it would be at all possible for me to have an early check in as my partner and I were flying in from LAX - 15 hour flight. I totally understand that the hotel is not obliged to commit to my request however I wish I was informed of this one month before, instead I was told that my request was put through and every effort made to make this happen. We arrived into Sydney international at 6.30am, arrived at Goldsbrough by approximately 8.30, I accepted that my room was not ready that early but staff assured it would be by around 10/11am, I got my room at 1:55pm. Clearly the request one month earlier was not noted on my booking. I had booked two rooms, one for two nights in this hotel and my friends had also booked two rooms for 2 nights as we had a family celebration booked....over $1000 worth of bookings so suffice to say I am very very disappointed that my request could not be met. A hotel that goes above and beyond this is not!!!!!!

A place you will want to stay longer inPosted Jun 4, 2015
Cons: Can anyone do anything about the Sydney traffic?
Location: Very short walk to Darling Harbour, Star Casino (if that interests you) and the city.
Stayed in a one bedroom apartment. It was very modern, spacious, comfortable and well laid out. It made me think I would happily live there if I could; everything you need was there (except perhaps a car space, but it is so close to Darling Harbour and the city you wouldn't need one). Discounted parking is available at a nearby (less than 5 minutes walk) public car park.

Location location locationPosted May 29, 2015
Pros: See above.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind- the hotel exceeded our expectations- value for money.
Location: It's only a few minutes walk through a carpark to the Harbourside Mall and the Darling Harbour waterfront so very close to all the attractions.
We chose the Oaks Goldsborough for it's location in Darling Harbour and the price and we weren't disappointed. We chose a studio apartment and our room was spacious and especially with the high ceiling it felt large. Although our view on the balcony was to a carpark building next door we didn't mind as we were out all day anyway. Although there is a motorway close by we didn't experience any noise at all. Loved the bed- so soft and comfortable. Each day a staff member changed our towels and took any rubbish. There is a light rail stop 2-3 mins walk away that connects at Central Station therefore the airport, although the hotel also offers transfers to the airport for around $30 for two people- good value.

Excellent location.Posted May 27, 2015
Cons: Free movie Chanel on Fox would have been good and free internet access.
Location: Walking distance to Darling harbour, pad days market star city or use the light rail which is easily accessable.
Great location, access to Harbourside car park and Harbourside restaurants and shops by a covered walkway. Light rail at the hoteldoor. a short walk to Star city. A lot of construction going on around the hotel though with the new Convention centre, however this was not really a problem.

Nice location, mostly a good experience there.Posted May 17, 2015
Pros: Location, price, safety. Very convenient to walk to Darling Harbour and from there take a water taxi anywhere.
Cons: WIFI price and quality. Water pressure in bathrooms.
Location: Although there's a mini-store in the building, if you walk less than 1 block there's a much larger grocer with pretty much everything you need.
For the money this is a good place to stay. It's pretty cheap for the room size. We had a 1 bedroom with fold out sofa. Pros - Price, location, safe, nice sized suites with full kitchens already stocked with dishes, pots & pans, plus had laundry right in the room. Cons - Wifi Internet is $85.00 AUD for 1 week and it was SUPER slow, although they do "refresh" your room daily with towels and shampoo, bathroom stuff, they do not clean the room. Their staff was average, they only did the minimum when it comes to service, but was at least professional. Bathroom water pressure was TERRIBLE from the shower, and difficult to get to a comfortable temperature. Also, ran out of hot water on 2 of the 7 days we were there with only 3 people in a 1 bedroom suite.
