Service and timely checkin need improvement

We expected our experience to be amazing butbit wasn't. We had to wait for checkin; even though we were travelling with our young baby, the staff didn't seem to care about that. We were told our room was being "inspected" for almost one hour!!! How is that possible? Also, when we tried to book a table by the window at the restaurant, the bored and rude hostess made it very clear that it's only a request, that they are very busy and can't guarantee anything. A "yes" or "no" would have been more appreciated. It was my husband's birthday so we felt kind of sad that our overall experience wasn't what we expected. They did send wine and chocolate to our room to apologize but really, it's the small details that make a difference in today's luxurious hotels - the lack of service with a smile and the overall attitude of the staff was bothering us. They all acted like they didn't really care, and they couldn't be bothered to try to help.

Pros: View of the harbour bridge was great
Cons: Odd service - delivering a bottle of complementary champagne at 12am midnight instead of 12pm the next day waking us up the night before our wedding

Great staff, service and location. Johnatan (concierge) helped a lot in suggesting and setting us up with nice restaurants.

Sydney Experience

Great hotel to relax and see the sites of Sydney. Access to Sydney Harbor activities, dining and ferry service were great. All of the Park Hyatt staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout the stay.

The only gripe I had, and it's such a minor one, is that the buttons to operate the blinds didn't work so well. That's it. Fantastic place for a city getaway.

Brilliant stay for our wedding weekend!

I stayed the night before our wedding and was well looked after as we got ready for the big day. We then we enjoyed two more nights as a married couple and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We'll be back to celebrate the anniversary!
