be wary of the trap

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: its called communication - most people in my experience will accept the facts if given options- don't just dish out a dud room and hope for the best
-was not expecting 5 star but as per experiences around the world expect to be advised that room is next to lift shaft -at time of booking - was toold by staff that it was an express room and apparently by telepathy or whatever I was supposed tom know it was next to lift shaft - was then told by reception that next time in should ask for a quiet room. I wonder how many requests they get for noisy rooms. in my experience the lift shaft is usually used as a means of upgrading room and therefore tariff - it would have been nice to have that option - all we got instead was no sleep

So convenient and helpful

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Location and facilities
Cons: Nothing, all good.
Location: Shopping, Hyde Park, transport - everything on the door
It was great to have such a central location, a place to park the car, an extended check out - we really enjoyed our say. I was especially impressed with the environmentally-friendly toiletry dispensaries...the less plastic we use the better!

One Night at the Park Regis

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: The location and the no-hassle,efficient staff
Cons: Nothing that we needed.
Location: Near Town Hall Railway Station,, with easy access to Central, the CBD, Circular Quay and ferries, The Rocks and North Sydney.
We dined out at Potts Point, and the following day we went to the Rocks and then Manly, so a hotel near Town Hall Station was ideal. Staff was friendly and efficient.

A terrible hotel never recommend to others

Posted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: The only I like is its location.
Cons: Everything should be improvised.
Location: This hotel close most of stuff at CBD
It's a long story about my experience. I had book this hotel through another online agency and latter on I cancel my booking and use the Expedia to book again (Expedia is fantastic :)). One week before I check in, I confirmed with the hotel reception with my cancelation and the new booking. The staff in there mentioned, it all good. However, on the day before I went to Sydney, I got a call (after 10pm and I already sleep), the staff in there asked me why I did not check in and do not want to listen my explanation. On the day I checked in, the first thing I get is a no show bill with huge credit card surcharge. The room (Twin Bed Room) is very very small and only one additional quilt for two person(different bed). My friend try to open the heater around 4am, it does not working!!!! The bath towel has red lipstick from previous customer and I had taken a photo of it. Trying to make an official complain.

Good for short or overnight stays

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: Close to everything in city
Cons: Water pressure in shower and reducing the outside noise in rooms
Location: Darling harbour, shopping, museum.
Room was very clean n comfy. Although rooms are not very sound proof so ouside noise is loud at night and water pressure is pretty poor in bathroom shower but they do have a sign in bathroom stating that as it is an old building and is under some refurbishment. All in all was a very comfortable stay for my 2 days in sydney very central to pitt street mall and darling harbour all is within 10min walking distance.

Good location - simple and efficient accommodation

Posted Jun 5, 2014
Pros: Location and simple accommodation that provided everything I required.
Cons: The bathroom was tiny but that is not going to change so don't expect much other than a space for a shower, toilet and basin.
I stayed at the Park Regis for only one night due to some business in Sydney. I wanted something that provided a convenient location and that was not expensive. Both of my criteria were met. The location was close to the main train stations, especially Town Hall, and there was lots of Sydney's attractions within easy walking distance. I am very happy to spend 20 minutes walking to get to my destination so it was easy to get to Circular Quay, Opera House, the Rock and Darling Harbour, etc. I really liked being near Hyde Park to have some very convenient green space. I have spend much more for really basic motels in regional Australia and this hotel was way above the rest.

Great location! Easy walk to Town Hall Station!

Cons: The signage on this site to show how small the rooms really are
Location: Vivid :)
Good room, very small in size what was offered and hotel staff did not want a bar of it. However the night staff were lovely people!
