Nice location - shame about the shower

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: upgrade the bathrooms - a new shower head would do
The shower was really bad. It was triangle shaped and the shower sprayed everywhere but down. Other than that it was a good location and was reasonably clean.

Great central Hotel

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Empty Fridge. Could use it for our stuff.
Cons: Sound Proofing from the outside. However we had a window that opened so that was great also.
Fantastic basic inner city hotel. Fantastic View from roof. If the weather co-operated better the roof pool would have been out of this world. Room had all a traveller wanted. The Refrigerator was EMPTY except for Ice. WONDERFUL.

Holiday

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Closeness to all we were desiring to look at .
Cons: Size of room .
Location: Good choice of eateries ..shop ..and sigtseeing
Had a nice time .. found the rooms very small compared to what they look like on the advertising.. Choose because of location .. Price was good.. overall pleasant .. would come back again .

Central. Very basic.

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Cons: Tired look, has had a lick of paint, but doesn't hide the age underlying. No cafe or reason to stay within hotel. Exorbitant wifi price, silly move...
Location: Central City.
Nothing flash about this place, noisy, unsealed windows make street noise a reality. Small room, tiny bath, suitable for one and a night, would be cramped fro more than a night. A cheap establishment that subscribes to the increasingly incompetent Australian management behaviour - charging extra for use of all credit cards. This is stupid behaviour in a sector struggling to make a living, high prices for rubbish service and then holding the hand out to the mug punter willing to pay for a basic service. Charges like this are the cost of doing business, they are included in the cost of services for competent and properly managed businesses. If not, they advertise the ineptitude of the business management.

Dodgy bathroom

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Staff good and nice roof view
Cons: Bathroom
Location: Bang in the heart of Sydney CBD
Surely its not too much to ask that the shower has a tray/ mechanism for not flooding the bathroom floor. Upgrade needed to bathroom and bedroom d├ęcor. Staff pleasant and efficient.

Contradictory to what accommodation should be

Posted Aug 31, 2014
The staff and the facilities were great. However, I did not sleep very well at all. I could hear EVERYTHING from the streets! The police sirens, the garbage truck, cars breaking and people having conversations. It was so bad I had to call reception if there's any other available room at 1am - but no there's none. Very disappointed.

Clean,comfortable,close to Sydney's central sights

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros:
Cons: Breakfast is not provided , vouchers are available for the cafe next door. Many cafes in the street are open well before 7am.
Compact comfort, great for my budget,a few blocks walk to the parks, shops, tower and QVB. Hop on hop off tourist bus or free 555 bus only metres away.Longer but pleasant walk to Circular Quay,Central Station,Opera House and waterside cafes with view of the Harbour Bridge.City noise was present,as you would expect with such a central location.
