Convenient to SYDNEY Harbour, opera house, Rocks

Posted Oct 19, 2014
It was most convenient, room very spacious and well appointed. The bar and food areas were not attractive and inviting. It simply does not draw you in to stay and enjoy. Instead you tend to want to find another location such as the adjoining Pier or Park Hyatt. The concierge staff very good the food and beverage staff not so attentive. The cleaning staff can do better also. Connection between lower fort street and Hickson road should be better utilized.

Nice Hotel, nice staff, great location

Posted Oct 8, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location & the staff
Cons: Not a whole lot. Buffet breakfast could be kept warmer.
Location: 3 minutes walk under the harbour bridge to Circular Quay. Right on the edge of The Rocks. Great for ferries & public transport.
We found the hotel was an enjoyable place to stay for several days whilst visiting Sydney. All staff that we dealt with were polite & professional. A couple of them went out of their way to talk to us & make the stay a bit more "personal" We will be visiting again

We had our 7 and 9 year old kids with us for 5 night. We all loved it here. So close to all the CBD. Beautiful views. Clean, fresh a new room interior. The service was excellent as well. Would stay here again.

Nice hotel close to all amenities.

Posted Oct 4, 2014
Pros: I like the location - an easy walking distance from amenities and features within Darling Harbour and The Rocks.
Cons: Care should be taken when cleaning and sanitising cups used within the rooms.
Location: An excellent location that is within strolling distance from Darling Harbour, The Rocks, Harbour Bridge and Observatory Hill.
The obernight stay was plesant with friendly and friendly staff. The change of room from city views to harbour views was made effortlessly. I was concerned when I found scum rings on the inside of cups after I had finished drinking my tea in my room.(Digital images were taken)

Great value hotel, superb location

Posted Oct 2, 2014
My husband and I stayed one night while visiting the city to see Macbeth at the Sydney Theatre Company, which is a five minute walk away. We got a great online deal including full breakfast, which was much better than other reasonable quality hotels located nearby. The location is fantastic, right on the water, close to the Bridge, the Rocks, the Quay and not far from Darling harbour. Great bars, cafés, restaurants (don't miss the Bar at the end of the Wharf). The hotel is undergoing major renovation but the rooms were fine, there was no building noise at night (although the air con was a little noisy at times) and a bit during the day, and the breakfast was plentiful. I would go back again for the same price.

Although the hotel was being renovated the service and cleanliness did not suffer. Staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly which is a huge plus.

Stunning location

Posted Sep 28, 2014
My fiancé and I chose the Pier One for our wedding night and I stayed the night before with my bridesmaids. The hotel staff were genuinely lovely and went out of their way to look after me: they accommodated all of the hairdressers, photographer etc who visited me throughout the day and acted quickly when we needed anything. The room was stunning (deluxe heritage) and the decor was modern and light (so lovely in comparison to some of the dark hotel rooms you can get). We had breakfast downstairs - it was quite expensive for the variety/quality of food and the dining room wasn't as nice as the rest of the hotel.

Perfect location under bridge

Posted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, dining room overlooking the bay
Cons: The hotel lobby is in the middle of being upgrading - not to take anything away from the hotel as it is now.
Location: Conveniently located close to The Rocks , Circular quay, Darling harbour and downtown all within easy walking distance
Was everything I expected from a 5 star hotel. Service, location and lots of attractions nearby. Very good and economically priced independent shuttle service available to and from the airport,
