Nice, comfortable stay

Staff were really friendly on check in and room was pretty big - we had a couch and balcony. Stayed overnight for a friends wedding. Room was clean and great location

Pros: Location, room size, view from our room, friendly staff
Location: Close to city, China Town, Darling Harbour, Darlinghurst, etc Loads of things to do and see all within walking distance
From our arrival, our stay was fabulous. Friendly, helpful staff, great view of Hyde Park from our room, spacious room for our family of four, clean, good gym. Have already recommended to friends and family and would stay here again. Thanks to the Pulman team for a wonderful stay as we celebrated our children's birthdays.

Park View?!

This is hotel is in a good position by Hyde Park not in the heart of the tourist highlights but in easy walking distance. The staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment you arrive until the second you leave. It's a hotel and the rooms are a good size as are the bathrooms. Only negative points: We got a free upgrade to a park view room. Great!! The only problem, the windows weren't clean enough to see the park properly! Come on Pullman if I'd paid for the view it would have really annoyed me. The other negative was the internet. I'm frustrated hotels still charge but I can accept that. However, the system for getting online was so difficult to understand and ended up charging us twice the $60 fee. Well I've only got a degree in computer science you can't expect someone like me to understand! Also, how hard can it be to not double charge?! It's a shame because I did really like the hotel!

Over the past few months, we have had construction taking place in buildings around the hotel causing dust and dirt on our windows and once this is completed we will have our windows cleaned. Thank you for your feedback in regards to our internet. We understand the need for WiFi when travelling however are restricted in service and cost provided. Nonetheless, we are currently reviewing our options with our provider and trust a solution will be reached that will help alleviate the cost and provide a more efficient service. Fabulous facilities, service disappointing

Cons: The service!
Location: Easy to get to via car and train. Easy walk into the central city.
Our room was huge and fabulous, beds possibly even better than at home. Staff were only average, not what you'd expect from a hotel of this calibre. I rang to book an airport transfer two days before we arrived and I am still waiting for this to be confirmed/the promised call back. We had to ask the waiter to order food in the restaurant (he was clearing every other table in the restaurant before getting our order underway) and convince him we should be able to order a drink from the bar in the restaurant (we did not feel like wine). The food we ordered, while tasty, was totally different to the advertised meal (why we chose to eat at the restaurant). The hotel advertises it has babysitting services. It does not. Not all staff have been trained in this and one staff member promised to book a babysitter then we were told the next morning the hotel does not offer this service (someone somewhere sued and this hotel decided to stop offering this service). This was a major contributer to us booking this hotel. The room doors are quite thin and you can easily hear people talking in the corridor. I was surprised to be woken up to this as I am a heavy sleeper. The bathroom was lovely and I wanted to take it home! And the squeaky door was fixed very promptly when I asked.

Lovely hotel, well situated, and reasonable rates

Pros: Lovely rooms, great rate, friendly staff - what more could you want!
Location: Close to everything (especially the shopping!)
We were a family group of nine and stayed for two nights in Sydney before flying to Brisbane for a week. The hotel were marvellous, and arranged for us to have three rooms next door to one another. The rooms were beautifully appointed, extremely comfortable and the rate was very reasonable. A brief walk to the CBD through an attractive park - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Friendly hotel and staff. Very accommodating.

Pros: The facilities, the cleanliness of the rooms, friendly staff. Loved the roof top spa and pool and the view.
Location: Location was perfect. Loved walking through Hyde Park to the shops and train station.
We spent the weekend in Sydney for my 40th birthday and had an amazing experience. Everything was close to the Hotel and we found it easy to get around.

Great central location by Hyde Park.

Pros: Great location.
Cons: Swimming pool would have been even more awesome and better used if heated.
Nice hotel right in the city, close and walking distance from gardens, Opera House, Darling Harbour and Capitol Theatre. also 100 m of train station - you can get train to the station direct from airport. Hotel is in good condition, and staff friendly. Would stay here again for sure. We joined Accor membership at the front desk - this gave us free internet - although I am sure we will now get emails plus phone calls about special offers!
