Weekend away

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Central location
Location: Everything was close, we caught a ferry to Luna park and we also went to Manly. The hop on hop off bus was 200m up the street .
We had 4 day to spend in Sydney and had the most wonderful time. The hotel was so central that we only used a cab once and that was to go to the airport. We travelled the train from the airport and got off extremely close to the hotel. Hotel staff were great helping us book our tours. We had a wonderful 30th wedding anniversary and will certainly return to Sydney and will probably stay at the Rydges again.

Standard comfortable city hotel

Pros: Central Location, Cleanliness, Ease of Travel from the Airport.
Cons: Free internet for all would be an easily achievable and very attractive improvement.
Location: Many excellent restaurants in walking distance.
All worked smoothly. The central location is perfect for restaurants.

THE BED !

Posted Apr 1, 2014
The huge comfortable bed and the good location were the best thing going. I put 4/5 for hotel facilities because it would be nice to have free wifi considering nearby internet cafes charge $3 for hour and the hotel charges $11 for 1 hour or $20 something for 24.

Clean, central, close to chinatown

Very accommodating staff, clean, tidy, bathrooms probably need a revamp, but workable. Close to the hum of Chinatown and Darling Harbour.

Hotel in middle of town, great location

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: This hotel is in a great location, right close to George Street which is the main shopping street downtown.
Cons: They should be offering internet for free, other hotels were offering it for free.
Location: Lots of stores for shopping and eating.
Even though the hotel is in a great location, it was not worth the money I paid for it, better off going to another hotel close by like the Pensione Hotel which is much cheaper. At least at the Pensione Hotel, I didn't expect that much. But I was expecting better from the Rydges World Square Hotel for about $266/night. The bathroom was not clean, saw pieces of hair in the bathroom that were not mine and the sink looked like it was just wiped down and not thoroughly cleaned. Internet was overpriced at $11 per hour, best to head to an internet place found on George Street, I paid $2 for 30 minutes.
