オペラハウスとシドニーベイブリッジが見れる最高のロケーション

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: 景色もさることながら、スタッフの応対やホテルの立地も素晴らしいです。
Cons:

Top of the notch hotel in Sydney

Posted May 24, 2015
The location is excellent if you don't mind to climb a few stairs. It over looks the famous opera house from your window. Room is small but very functional. Shower is great which definitely makes your stay a very comfortable one. It is walking distance to almost everything: train and ferry stations, harbor, opera house, Starbucks and McDonald's and many more.

Wonderful view of circular quay harbour.

Posted May 21, 2015
Room was spacious, clean and comfortable with wonderful views over circular quay, Sydney bridge and the Opera house. Convenient for Circular quay, the ferries and trains. Downside is the hilly walk to get there...okay if you are fit. Cannot fault the hotel and staff were friendly and helpful. Would, however, have liked the the roll away bed arranged on booking to have been in the room on arrival and not had to chase it up several times. But , the staff were most helpful when I had to arrange receipt of an urgent fax.

Marvelous hotel!

Posted May 8, 2015
Pros: Everything! Mostly the location and the great staff.
Cons: Food maybe a BIT pricey; seems odd that even at 8:00 AM you get a card under the door that the staff couldn't clean your room yet due to privacy sign.
Location: It is near everything: within walking distance of Circular Quay, Darling Harbor, and the opera house; it's in the Rocks area (small cafes and shops)
The Shangri-La in Sydney is absolutely wonderful. Highly recommended. The concierge staff is perfect and so helpful, especially Phil. Beautiful interior; great rooms overlooking Sydney Harbor and the bridge; very nice indoor pool and gym; great restaurants. Conveniently located within walking distance of all attractions AND is in the Rocks area, which has nice small cafes and shops. It is a bit pricey, but worth it. I was just there in the "off" season of late April/early May (like US late September/early October) and though it rained early on (but that was not really typical), it is so much less crowded, I imagine, than the heart of their spring or early summer. Take any harbor cruise, especially to Watkins Bay; and do a Blue Mountain tour.

Even better the 2nd time

Posted May 3, 2015
Pros: Gorgeous rooms, staff.
Cons: I was disappointed that they had changed the bar at the top of the hotel. Not nearly as classy as when it was owned by the Japanese and known as "ANA"
Location: Best location for access to the Quay, ferries, Opera House, shopping, Darling Harbor, and trains and buses.
I stayed here the first time just before the Olympics opened several years ago and vowed to return to same hotel if I ever got back. I DID get back and we booked a gorgeous corner room with spectacular view of the bridge and the Opera House. Simply stunning! I remembered sitting in the wide window sills staring at that view many years ago and it was just thrilling to do it again. We slept with curtains open just so we could open our eyes to that view! Staff made us feel like we were the only people checking in; truly gracious, friendly, and caring. This is the ONLY place to stay in Sydney!!
