The hotel is a must and now have decided to not stay anywhere else but this hotel. Staff were very friendly and courteous. The rooms were very clean and the layout was very impressive.

A fabulous hotel at the Rocks in Sydney

Posted Dec 17, 2014
Pros: I liked the friendly staff, luxury room and great location.
We stayed here for two nights in mid December 2014. The hotel staff were always extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 8th floor and was enormous, with a side window view of the Opera house and Circular Quay, and a view of the city from the other windows. The area of the room was about 40 sq m. The room had a separate TV area with a 3 seater lounge and TV, while the bathroom was huge. It had a large shower, big vanity unit as well as a bathtub. The bedroom had a large king bed, TV, armchair and table, desk and chair, fridge, safe and tea making facilities. The room was fabulous, as was the service provided by the hotel staff. The hotel has a bar on the 36th floor, and if you get there early enough to get a window seat, there are fabulous views of the city. The hotel is located in the Rocks area, and is very close to pubs, restaurants, Circular Quay and central Sydney. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone. It is not a budget hotel, but it is a fabulous place to stay.

Very Comfortable

Posted Dec 12, 2014
We were very happy with our rooms. We had two booked and they gave us interconnecting rooms when requested. Beds were super comfy. Enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel. They had everything you could want and it was fresh.

Nice hotel, few service issues

Posted Dec 10, 2014
Nice room, ac didn't work effectively in the room in the first night. Luggage took nearly an hour to arrive at our room. Bar on 36 is great but cocktails are average and overpriced.

Nice facility but terrible reception

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Great view and the bar at top floor
Cons: Better reception staff
Location: Go work, business meeting at CBD. shopping and restaurants are close
Very good facility. stay at the harbor view room. Great bar at top floor. concierge and valet staff good. but terrible reception. need training with the early shift at 6pm for reception. the late night shift for reception was simply rude and not friendly when our friends arrive and check in late

Would stay there again!

Posted Nov 27, 2014
Pros: Staff we fantastic - we arrived very early (8.30am) - staff did their best to ensure we got a room asap.
Cons: Believe it is out the hotels control but shame the opera house is actually never lit up during the evening - so not much of a view really.
Location: Great location and wonderful place to explore. Lots of places to eat and drink. Felt like everything we needed was on our doorstep.
Got there very early 8.30am - thought we might be made to wait for a room until 3pm but only had to wait an hour - Phil in concierge was simply wonderful and very helpful and informative - a real asset to the hotel. We are planning to go back to Sydney in June and naturally will stay in this wonderful hotel again. We were out there for business and this hotel was perfect for us. Managed to do a lot of touristy stuff too!

Brilliant views of Sydney

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: The style and comfort
Cons: Breakfast, we thought it was a bit averGe
Location: Very central to the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay, the Rocks and Daling Harbour, very central for all of the main Sydney Sights.
Our visit was to celebrate our anniversary, we had. A good welcome and though we arrived very early they put an urgency on the cleaning of the room and texted us as soon as it was available. The room was very comfortable, lovely big bathroom with excellent views of the Opera House and Circular Quays. Brilliant cocktail bar on the 36th floor with views of the bridge and Darling Harbour. We had a lovely evening meal where the chef brought me a pannacotta to die for.

Great location and nice on site amenities.

Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Great staff, good location and very nice on site restaurant called Altitude which has brilliant view of harbour.
Cons: Be aware your up a hill so need to be fit enough to walk up and down steps and slopes, it's not far to anything but there are a few sets to harbour.
Location: It's on the Rocks which means it's less than 10mins to the Harbour including the Quay where all the tourist boats go out of. About 15mins to key shops
Had a great room with harbour view. The Lobby bar is great for quick good food and has a nice outside terrace area. Highlight was dinner in the Altitude restaurant on the top floor (need to book) which is not inexpensive and it's a 4 course menu thankfully including vegetarian options. There is also a bar with similar views on the top floor but get there early (like when it opens at 5pm) as it gets packed. It's a great location for sightseeing and is within walking distance of the main attractions in the centre of Sydney like the Opera House or the harbour area where the tourist boats can take you on sightseeing tours, harbour taxis and over to the zoo.
